LAHASKA, PA: Tails of the Village has a sister-store in Peddler's Village called The Total Animal and it is a pet store dream! A boutique pet shop with everything fun you can want for your dog or cat, and even some pet-themed items for pet-parents. Browse around and bring something home for yourself and your pup.

I agree with the other reviews, fairly pricey but that's all the stores in the area. Employee was friendly. You can bring in pets but there's a lot in the store so it's hard to walk around with them. I bought treats for my pup

we were at Peddlers Village yesterday and the gentleman outside gave me treats for my beagle. He absolutely loved them, wondering if they do no line orders as he are from New Jersey

This store is ok. I got over my initial excitement after I visited here numerous times to find most beagle stuff sold out. Blah. It is indeed overpriced but I wasn't surprised because most of the stores in Peddler's Village are. The store has a cute concept, there is literally cat & dog everything. More dog stuff than cat as noted previously. My dog loves their homemade treats but my beagle will literally eat anything so I'm not sure if that's a fair assessment. My wallet on the other hand, not so much.

The woman working in the store was so rude. When we asked a question she asked “is that a serious question?” She would also not come out to help us buy cookies because she was the only one working, despite us being the only customers in the entire store.

I visited the Total Animal tonight. With the help of two young ladies, I was able to find a mug and some other things with my dog on it. It's not a popular breed, so it's nice having a place that sells cliche things with his breed. As much as I love this store, there are a few things I do not like. First, it has too much stuff for such a small store. You never know where to look. With all of the stuff, it is alway crammed. It makes me want to stay out. Some other things that bother me is that it's always so cold in the store. When I go into a store, I go in to get out of the cold. They leave the door open allowing the cold air in. Also, their coworkers are always in the way doing different things which add to the crammed feeling in the store. Love the store, but it could use some new ways to do things. New year, new ways.

Absolutely the most ignorant staff I have ever encountered in my years as a veteran, as a potential customer (that was going to buy something), and especially when we were doing the store a favor by bringing OUR CLIENTS into the shop to buy something for their dog. The woman who runs this store has given me a disgusting attitude on not one occasion but also about a year ago when I had stopped in. Well, you know the saying.. fool me once, fool me twice, won't be fooled a third.

I will NEVER step foot in this store again. I am appalled at the way my dog and I were treated here. I have a very friendly Belgian Malinois and we went into the store to look around. A small dog owner said her dog was friendly and they greeted each other, only to have the little dog snarl, bark and snap at my dog. My dog is non reactive to this behavior (I am a dog trainer!) and just walked away. However, the owner says to ME "I have to think about the safety of other people and children." I'm sorry lady but my dog is trained and not aggressive but I suppose because of what breed she is, we were automatically at fault even though the small dog owner apologized to me and claimed her dog "has never done that before." I actually had items that I put right back because you do not deserve my money. Disrespectful.
