“I just had a wonderful experience! My kitty came down with some sudden GI issues. Our previous vet had retired and I hadn't found a new one yet. Rather than going to the pet emergency, I was able to get in same day at Black Horse. It was a great visit from start to finish. Prices were very reasonable, the environment was calm for my kitty, and I loved the way the vet discussed treatment options with me. I will be recommending Black Horse to everyone!”

“I can not say enough good things. From the gate Grace was amazing answering my emails of questions. Then when I got there for our first puppy visit I was even more impressed. Every staff member made you feel welcome and explained everything. I even got a call with test results later that day and to check on her after her vaccinations. Thank you Pine Creek ♥️”

“Amazing!
I cant recommend Dr. Brian enough. My dog is a brat, and screams bloody murder when other vets touch him (not aggressively at all!)
Dr. Brian has some sort of magical touch that my dog senses. He's the only vet I will take him to, even though I'm in vet med myself and work elsewhere.

Also, when there was a complication during a dental cleaning for my dad's dog and a very minor oopsie was made, the practice owner apologized profusely and was willing to pay any vet bill that might follow as a result of the possible complication. I highly respect Dr. Diane for wanting to make things right!!

I've been coming to this practice since I was a young kid, as my parents used them as their vet. I will continue to support them and vouch for them!!

Thank you guys for all that you do - me and my doggos truly appreciate you all. ❤️❤️”

“Love Smoketown Veterinarian! Dr. O’Neill and Dr. Russo are two of the best Vetranarians around. I haven’t met a doctor there that wasn’t excellent. They are so good to all of our rambunctious patients puppies/dogs. They take time to listen and really care for our pets. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a reputable veterinarian.”

“I didn't have a great experience with VCA West Shore Animal Hospital (and neither did my friends and neighbors), so I was reluctant to go to another VCA. However, I had no choice as it was a last minute appointment. My cat was experiencing some vomiting and I was at a loss. Now, I see another reviewer attempted to slander Dr. Leann Murphy, which is absolutely ridiculous. And essentially their complaint was about the bill. Newsflash, friend, pets can be expensive. Perhaps consider fish if you don't want to spend for the care of a mammal. My experience with Dr. Murphy was excellent. She did everything she could to exam my anxiously distressed cat before making a careful suggestion to place him under anesthesia so she could closely exam him. The medication she prescribed cleared his vomiting and she said it was due to stress (added another cat to the household). I'm a overly cautious and anxious pet owner, so I had numerous after appointment questions. Guess what? Dr. Murphy always returns my calls. Where most veterinarians would tell you "bring them back in" so they can hit you with another bill, she did not. Friendly staff. Thorough care. The bill was higher than I had anticipated, but that's the fault of the lab (full mark-up blood tests can be expensive), not VCA Smoketown. Yes, I would return to VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital, and yes I would recommend Dr. Leann Murphy.”

“We have dealt with this vet for over a year now and it time to provide an accurate review here on Yelp. This review is based upon experience with multiple vets regarding our goat herd. First, for the sake of the consumer, let's clarify the role of this business. They are a farm veterinary practice dealing with farm animals. We have had these vets out to our farm for both routine and emergency visits. Based upon these visits let me address the three most important things about vets, efficacy of treatment, barnside manner and cost. Efficacy of treatment is superior. The vets have always been able to diagnose the problem and provide an effective therapeutic treatment. We have a goat with significant health challenges and they have taken the time to work on figuring out his issues without charging us for unnecessary or questionably effective treatments. As far as barnside manner, I am very impressed with these vets. During a castration, the doc took plenty of time titrating anesthesia. He didn't want to overdrive the anesthesia but he was very cognizant of making sure the goat was properly sedated and comfortable. He didn't rush into it. He took his time and made sure the animal was safely and humanely prepped for surgery. On a number of occasions, I have watched the vet adjust themselves into uncomfortable or difficult positions to examine or treat the animal so as to keep the animal comfortable. They don't force the animal into a painful position in order to make their life easier or simpler. They have all proven to be compassionate and caring providers. Lastly, let's discuss cost. I have had three emergency visits with treatment, and all of them have cost me under $300. Their price point on services rendered is well within industry norms. Their prices are very reasonable. We are very happy with this veterinary practice and they get a five star review from me.”

“One of the best vets in the area. We've been taking our dogs here for a number of years and have always received professional and very thorough service. This vet not only has the head knowledge but a natural gift working with animals. Highly recommended!”
