If I had done this review three days earlier I would have given Ballard five stars. But. In the interest of full disclosure, I bought a floor sample sofa so it was half price. They explained that they needed the floor space because they were getting the spring collection in in a few days so everything was marked down. The manager of the store, Christine, told me and this is a direct quote, we'll wrap it up and put it in the back for you until you can pick it up (they do not deliver floor samples). I found a company that would deliver at the end of that week. The day before delivery, I received a call from Jennifer at the store who told me, I know you're trying to get your sofa picked up tomorrow but the manager says we have to keep your sofa on the floor for another ten days and then you can come and get it. Well none of this was what I was told when I bought the sofa. They were supposed to wrap it up and take it off the floor but they did not do that. Then I would like to know where they get the nerve to call me and tell me they are keeping it out on the floor for another 10 days. They didn't ask me. They told me. At this point I explained that they could refund my money and keep the sofa on the floor for the next 10 years or I could pick it up the next day. It was up to them. After being on hold for a long time, they came back and said okay you can have the sofa tomorrow. Wow that was really big of them.What kind of customer service is this? Would I recommend Ballard Designs? If you had asked me earlier in the week I would have said absolutely. Now, I'll tell you - no, not if this is how they treat paying customers.

I usually just look in the window of this store for design ideas but today I walked in and took a little tour. I purchased silver apple and pear salt an pepper shakers and got design ideas.

Love this store. Always got the catalog but it is great to see everything in person. Just wish they had a bigger chair selection.

After trying to order runners on the Ballard website two times--they sent five in the wrong size so far--one is still out there somewhere (label created), I contacted the King of Prussia store. The person who answered my call was extremely helpful (unfortunately I didn't get her name). She ordered the rugs for me and I received them today and they're all the correct size. I don't know how she finally accomplished it but I wanted to say thank you!!

The store itself is nice enough, the furniture is pricey but appears to be good quality. However the pieces they build and deliver seem to be plagued with quality control issues. Granted I don’t have doubt that they’ll try to make it right, it’s just a pain - I’m now waiting for a 3rd replacement after seeing obvious manufacturing defects in the first two. For the prices they’re charging, this should not be part of the experience.

I’ve only purchased Ballard products online through their website, and have always been satisfied with their delivery and quality. I find Ballard products to be a great/better alternative to other retail stores like Pottery Barn. Their trade programs are also great. Highly recommended.

We ordered a 60 inch bench and a bench cushion from the King of Prussia store in this specific color we liked. Several days later I ordered the same fabric from their website to make matching pillows myself. When the cushion arrived it was a 48 inch cushion. I called customer service (which wasn't so apologetic) and was told that they don't even have a 60 inch cushion in that color. And they told me fabric isn't returnable but she put in a note to stop the shipment and cancel the order. The bench arrived cracked... Called again to return the bench and make sure I won't receive the fabric, it was their mistake after all. I also emailed them only to get a "sorry fabric cannot be returned" email. Emailed again, explaining one more time that this stemmed from their mistake and it is just not fair for them to make me buy this fabric. No response. The fabric got delivered, I was charged the amount. Now I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and going on every social media channel to talk about my negative experience. I can't believe Ballard Designs wasn't able to make up for their mistake and lost a customer over $65.
