It is unbelievable with today's technology that a national rental car company can take a reservation online and then call a few hours later to say that there are no cars available. Pathetic and unacceptable. And by the way, if you do try to call, they will redirect you back online. From what I can tell, you couldn't reserve over the phone if you wanted to. Stay far, far away.

West Chester Hertz sent us to Kennett Square Hertz to pick up a car that West Chester did not have. West Chester Hertz told us to confirm that there was a car at Kennett Square first before going. Called Kennett Square Hertz and had to leave a message because no live person picked up. Did not get a return phone call to let us know there was a car available, BUT did get charged a no show for the car, even though we never picked one up. Now we are stuck fighting a no-show charge. NEVER RENTING FROM HERTZ AGAIN.

We rented an SUV through the online system with Hertz. I confirmed the availability one week before our trip and yes, we were locked in and ready to go. The service person greeted us with a smile and he was ready with our vehicle, so checkout was less then 15 minutes. The vehicle was perfect for our trip from PA to NC, and upon returning the vehicle, we were greeted in the same manner as when we left. I always recommend making reservations in advance, preferably online if you can, and then calling to ensure your request is honored. I will rent from Hertz again when needed, they were less expensive than another major competitor.

Would HIGHLY recommend calling before going to this location for a car rental. I needed to drive over 4 hours away for my internship and made a reservation a week in advance AND called to confirm my reservation was set just to go at the time of pickup and was told that their fleet of cars for the day (that supposedly included my car) had not come in yet. I did not receive a call about this, instead I had to show up at the time of my pickup to find out and was told that I would get a call back when the car is available and when I did receive the call (2 hours later) the caller hung up. I had an opportunity to save $$ with this location but would rather pay extra for somewhere a lot more reliable. Completely ruined my trip.

Terrible. Drove a car from across the Midwest today and was told I could return the car here after hours with the key drop. The key drop was COVERED UP, and I couldn't drop off the key with the necessary paperwork. Absolute garbage. Don't recommend.
