this place is really nice, the rooms are small, but everything else makes up for it. I really enjoyed the layout of my split room.technically, I should of removed 1 STAR for LOCATION, but it is actually a pretty decent location, only problem is the highway traffic in the early morning, but its usually restricted to one side of the hotel (least that I know of).

Typical Fairfield Inn. Clean and comfortable. Standard buffet style breakfast.Nearby activities: Longwood Gardens is up the road a couple of miles as are restaurants.Food & drinks: Restaurants are a short drive north on U.S.1

This hotel would have been rated higher, except that there was a strong smell of gas in the lobby. When reported, the receptionist agreed and said he would report this to his manager. When nothing was done on the second evening, we decided to call the fire department. We were tired, and it was late at night, and we couldn’t face looking for a new hotel, even though we were frightened for our own safety. The evening receptionist also agreed that there was a strong smell of gas. The fire department came and turned off the gas on the lobby Fireplace. The next day we were berated by the hotel manager, which seemed a most inappropriate response to our concerns about our own safety. She said that she would not have allowed the gas to be turned off- further demonstrating a lack of regard for safety.

Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. Standard motel free breakfast that was just fine.Nearby activities: Close to all the DuPont mansions and gardens.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Room was clean, not noisy, and breakfast was as expected. Kind of tricky to get to from route 1, but follow the GPS and it will get you there.

Excellent service and price point every time I stay there. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are outstanding. The indoor heated pool is amazing and the free breakfast is very generous with lots of options. I could go on and on and I will definitely be back.

Not a fan of leaving negative reviews.Why costumer service in this property is so poor and bad?Twice or more, I needed support with my reservations, the manager and front desk staff had bad attitude. Looks and feels that these staff don’t like their job. And none helped me to fixed it.Marriott Bonvoy is known and recognized for a great costumer service, this property sucks.No more Fairfield, thanks God there is a Hilton near.Rooms: GoodNoteworthy details: Bad customer service experience.

Clean hotel near Longwood gardens. The room was clean and spacious. Employees were all friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. They do serve a hot breakfast and have coffee and tea available all day.

Not a fan of leaving negative reviews. Upon checking out yesterday I informed front desk that the hot water was out, still. I had notified them Monday evening and was told it would be fixed in the morning. Spent all Tuesday out and when we returned after 9pm, the hot water was still out. The receptionist said “Sorry?” With a question mark. Usually I would expect a “sir, we’d like to make this right by etc etc etc” but she was like “Bye”Oh well. No more Fairfield in for me.

We reserved 2 rooms months ago. Arrived at the front desk to be told they are completely booked with NO ROOMS availed. Tara, front desk clerk, was clueless. We kept telling her "We have reservations". She just kept telling us they were booked solid. Luckily, Tyrone, came to our aid. He found us a room. Our friends were on the 2nd floor, we were on the 4th. Next morning we went down for the free breakfast which was being served between 6:30-9:30am. NO EGGS, just sausage and bacon, green bananas, and the juice machine was out of order. They did give us juice bottles.Food & drinks: No eggs as a choice for breakfast. Juice machine out of order. Stayed here twice with my wife on a small little staycation. Had a wonderful time. Good friendly staff and I really enjoyed their breakfast a lot. We specifically loved that they had a heated indoor pool. Unfortunately it was under maintenance the entire second stay. But it was fun and relaxing along with the spa aka hot tub. The rooms are nice and comfortable but again on the second stay we were positioned closer to the highway and it was quite loud.Food & drinks: The morning breakfast is so good for a free continental. The staff that restock it are also so polite and kind even to the grumpy rude people.
