When you go watch out for the 200 dollar just to diagnose your vehicles which personally should be free but I'm never taking my vehicles back yes they do a good job but when half your bill is 200 dollars for a diagnose then someone is ripping someone off ?

Needed a vehicle towed....they had a tow truck to my location within 45 minutes.
A++ customer service and reasonably priced.

Charged less than my insurance would have to grab me from a dangerous part of 81. Sent out a truck with room for myself wife and daughter in car seat. Got me a new tire and back on the road. They would have patched it if they could but the sidewall bubbled on test fill. They identified the failure as the valve stem and replaced it along with the tire. Sidewall failed after running flat. Service was as fast as the new tire could arrive. Great guys and honest.

So... long story, the car is still broken, but I think the owner means well for his customers. I'm not going to go into 5 pages of detailed dialog, but we both got a bit screwed with this used car and the owner was willing to work with us even though it wasn't the easiest/smoothest situation. In the end, I would recommend this place to others, definitely do your homework on the used cars, go through inspections, etc, because they are USED and not new cars. Still, even with our situation (and it was a frustrating one for both parties), the manager/owner(Joe, I believe) made it work, which I want to express gratitude for, not alot of places would do that and would instead drag it out. Thanks, and I hope good things happen with your business.

Bought my vehicle from Joe May's The staff are excellent and will help anyway they can! Anthony is a great salesman He went out of his way to do everything! Mike and Chrissy are fabulous people and very personable with you Chrissy was excellent with Notary We had an incident about registration but she hung in there and it all got done!! The shop is excellent They took care of everything with my vehicle and they still help The whole staff at Joe May's are amazing If you need help with either buying or repairs they are the ones to go to Thank you to all of you!!

Being broken down on Interstate 81 was very stressful but the men at Joe Mays were exceptional. They were knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend this Repair shop for sure

I found a used mini Cooper they listed on Facebook. We went to see it and I put a deposit on the vehicle. I was told that the vehicle needed inspected and a few other things. A few weeks later after hearing nothing from them I called and was told that they didn't feel comfortable selling me that car because it was one problem after another. I was very impressed with their honesty so I asked them what else they had to sell. They told us about a Nissan Rogue that just needed a transmission. We waited a few more weeks and 3 transmissions later for them to get the car done then drove the hour and a half from where we live to pick it up. Everything was great for about two months then my son went to drive the car to school and it wouldn't shift and go beyond first gear. Thinking it was probably the transmission and they told me it was under warranty I called them. They told me that they would take a look at it but they couldn't cover the cost of the tow. I understood and tried everything possible including trying to rent a trailer myself to haul it there to no avail. So I was able to get AAA and get it towed for a lower cost. This was about 2 weeks from the initial problem with it. The vehicle was there for almost a week before O heard anything about what was wrong with it. (In their defense the car was towed up there on a friday night, but no phone call saying they received it or any indication what was going on until it had been a week since the car left my driveway) The technician called me on a Friday and I was told that it wasn't the transmission it was a bad throttle body and that he needed to order the part and it would be in Monday or Tuesday and he quoted me around $750 to fix. I said go ahead. Again I didn't hear anything from them for another week. They called me a week later saying that the car was fixed and that it was ready to be picked up and that it was going to cost $1366 for the repairs. Almost double what I was quoted! I was told that they put a new throttle body in it and it went bad right away because of a bad wire. They fixed that and replaced the throttle body again. They charged me for both throttle bodies although it was not my fault that they didn't fix the correct problem in the first place. I talked to the owner because I was upset that I was quoted $750 and was being charged almost twice that with NO communication or choice. He took the price for the repair down to $1140. I paid it over the phone because of how far away we live and asked them to leave the keys in the car and we would pick it up the next day. We picked up the car drove it an hour and a half home on Saturday of memorial day weekend. It drove home fine. Tuesday morning my son went to leave for school and the car wouldn't accelerate AGAIN. They exact same thing I had just paid $1140 for them to fix. So I called the shop and asked for the owner, told them who I was and that the car wasn't running and was doing exactly what I just paid to have fixed and was told the owner wasn't there. I requested that the owner call me. Two weeks later, nothing. No phone call, nothing. I'm over $5200 into this driveway ornament that I can do nothing with because they didn't fix it.

I was coming back from camping in my truck and it died on the highway. I live about an hour from the shop. called AAA and Randy showed up and towed me to their shop. It was a Holliday weekend but he listened to my start attempt and suggested it sounded like something with the timing. I called in when they opened and spoke with Chad and he let me know the news: it was my timing belt. It had snapped on the highway.
Super knowledgeable, friendly, not too hurried to explain things, timely (big job but fixed it in only three days) and reassured me that my truck, despite the mileage, is solid and rust free (2003 taco) so it’s worth the investment. They also went ahead and did the water pump while they were in there to save me the money and headache later since that’s usually the next part to go.
If I lived closer I’d take my truck there for regular maintenance!

My Road Angels. I was stranded in the Shillington Sheetz lot with a flat tire- on hold with AAA. The crew from Joe Mays was eating lunch in the parking lot, saw my dilemma, and came to my rescue! They could have ignored me but instead they saved me. Changed my tire, then as luck would have it my car didn’t start so they gave it a jump. Thanks to their caring and expertise I made it to a family dinner in time.
I felt so blessed and lucky. Their kindness was amazing. Peace and Blessings to them.

Just want to thank them for changing the tire on our pickup that was quickly going flat. Had us back on 81 and headed the 2 hours home in no time and charged us next to nothing. So appreciate you guys!!!
