Bad experience. The driver would call shortly before arrival and insist someone be there. I work so if I couldn’t be there he wouldn’t show. The last attempt he slid off of my driveway and then left after being towed. The company sent me a letter letting me know that they paid $300 for the towing. After being left without heat for 3 days and having to have my landscaping redone that spring I would gladly have traded them bills.

I had run completely out of oil and they delivered to me the very next morning. They billed me and let me pay when I got paid. They are always willing to work with you and very understanding! Also, I believe they are the only company that will deliver the minimum of 100 gal. Every other place, has a pretty high minimum of what they will deliver.

Great company. Never an issue. Always worked around my schedule to deliver. Never ask to help with hose. I did as a courtesy.

I haven't had any problems with this company. I wonder what the circumstances are with the people that say they have to pull the house up to their house. They have always treated me right and courteously. Yes I would highly recommend them..

Loyal customer for life! 20 some Years ago I became a single mom of 2 and winter hit. I made call after call but No one would bring me oil without me having payment upon delivery. Mr Thorton overheard me telling a coworker and spoke up and said “ what’s your address? You can pay me when you get it! “ I went home that day and sure enough we had heat. I made payments until i was paid in full and I have never gotten my heating oil anywhere else since!!’ I’ll always be grateful.

We've used Thornton Oil for over 10 years. Never had a problem with delivery. Driver is courteous and efficient. We live off the beaten path but he never complains about our long, one lane, gravel driveway.

How can Miller deliver to my sister under 10 hrs after calling but yet days later im still waiting on Thornton when i told them my house is cold and i have no oil (my fault i didnt call few weeks ago but i didnt have the money) sry but its about time to switch companies! Cause you can care less to deliver 500 gallons before next year and Millers is 4 cents cheaper

It's ridiculous that the driver excepts the homeowners/renters to grab the hose and fill up..Who's being paid here?? The drivers just lazy and the company do not care because the driver is the owners own son. This is not a way to run a business. They seriously should pay the residents for filling up their own tanks (or at least knock some money off from the fill since the resident has to do some work also). Is this how they would treat veterans or even disabled residents? This company should not be in business. Save your money and heart aches and get service through Rays Oil instead...
