JST airport is tiny and it is great that there is a Hertz location here. It closes at 5 PM weekdays, but there is a flight from Chicago that comes in (usually) at 10:20 PM. I was on that flight and I had called to see if there was a way to get a car after 5 PM. The agent was very helpful and said she or another agent would be there when the flights lands. Our flight was substantially delayed until 2:20 AM, and I was completely surprised that the agent was there with our keys for the car. Shout out to Caitlin for being there at such an inconvenient time!

We landed late Thursday night after the rental car center was closed and had to stay in a hotel that night. Getting to the hotel and around the immediate area was a little stressful without a local taxi service, but someone graciously offered us a ride there. I called Friday morning and Frank and Caitlin went above and beyond to pick us up from the Super 8 and get us situated with our car. For future reference for all, I believe you can call in advance to schedule an after hours pickup since there’s only one flight a day from IAD and ORD. Really appreciate their help in making a great start to the weekend!

I’m Very disappointed. I am a minority shareholder of Hertz global holdings and a member of their gold loyalty program. I reserved a rental for a week and decided to extend it for a couple days.Immediately from pickup it seemed as though they were trying to get more money out of me to begin with. So what happened when I tried to extend my rental didn’t completely surprise me. I had credit card issues and spoke to the manager about that, and the extra amount discrepancies that incurred when they tried to charge my card on the phone, for second day in a row (amount doubled).Financials aside, the manager was extremely rude, unaccommodating, and not understanding. She even made the mention of going to the authorities over a potential 2 day late return, which certainly would rub any customer the wrong way.Furthermore, I feel as though I was treated in such a manner because of my young age with an assumption that I was ignorant and she could provoke fear out of me.No customer deserves that treatment, regardless of disadvantages or misunderstandings and someone so ill-mannered and intolerant does not belong in a leadership position.I hope to have a better experience later. They need to do better.

The car was clean, the process simple but...Be careful of hidden charges when you go to pick up your rental! The quote I received for a one-day rental was $129. Our final bill was for $269!We were charged $33 to purchase insurance because we didn't have our insurance policy showing coverage. (Not a normal item to bring on vacation; I've never had to provide that before when renting a car.)Because the reservation was in my name but my husband would be driving, we were charged an additional $12. We asked for the rental to be in his name only but the agent didn't know how to change it.We drove the car from Johnstown to the Pittsburgh Airport but were charged $57 for the fuel "we" used. The distance is less than 90 miles. We couldn't refill the tank as we were returning to the airport but it seems that someone else drove it after we did!With other taxes and fees, our final bill was $269.52! I called and was credited $26.88 back, but I don't even know what for as I never got a return phone call.Yikes. Next time we'll call UBER.

Called me two hours before pickup to tell me they have no cars. Didn't offer to help in any way (recommend another location, try to get one from another location, etc).

Terrible experience! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! I picked up a rental to travel out of state, 1500 miles. The first issue is they never did a walk around with me. The car was filthy! While on our trip we hit a rain storm and hydro planed the whole way through it! When i called to complain that the tires are bald they told me "they would look into it". Unacceptable!! You gave me a rental that could have seriously injured us if i didnt know how to properly handle a car that was hydroplaning, not to mention if we wrecked, it would have been MY insurance that would have to pay!
