No issues booking the bikes or the bike ride. However, using the shuttle service was painful. Initially informed the shuttle drop off was near the bike rental shop, and ended up being dropped off in a location miles away (at least 15 minute walk). At first, no big deal. However, at the end of the day waited nearly an hour for the shuttle and again had to wait once they arrived. Avoid parking at the white water rafting location if you can.

My husband and I stopped by this excellent bike shop and shuttle service company during our visit to JT. We spoke with the owner, Paul, about his bike selection and service. Everyone in the shop was knowledgeable, kind and professional. They listened to my questions and had many happy customers outside. When booking, you may want to make sure you are booking directly with this company and not other companies that may have similar names. This shop is in the middle of town across from the train station. Happy biking!

I have been on one other bicycle tour with Pocono Biking and they have both been exceptional. I can't think of any part of either trip that could have been improved. It was a great experience.

This tour is exceptional. The staff are professional, friendly, and attentive. The daily briefings were accurate and informative. The rest stops were well stocked and spaced. The reservations for our hotels and meals were handled really well without any problems from our perspective. The guides were very friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. I don't have any reservations about recommending them for bike tours. I also hope to go with them again.

Tl;Dr: Great service, great bikes, beautiful trail, and amazing emergency responsiveness.
My partners and I went on a daytrip to Jim Thorpe and rented bikes and a shuttle ride from Pocono Biking to the top of their 25 mile trail. The bikes were quality and the trail was absolutely beautiful, with very obvious mile markers and signage the whole way down, and a really well maintained bathroom and water fountain stop about halfway down.
The staff were all super helpful and friendly- especially so when one of my partners with a chronic grip strength issue started having increasing levels of difficulty maneuvering their bike and about three quarters of the way down, their wrist gave entirely and we all had to stop. The wonderful staff member whose job it was to follow behind on the trail (whose name I didn’t get and who I might have misgendered, I am am so sorry!) kept close to us, and when it became apparent that we couldn’t progress any further and the sun started to set, let us know of another part of the trail with road access, and when they had signal, reached out to the rental shop to arrange an emergency shuttle pick-up.
We split the party, two of us biked back to the rental shop as quickly as we could while the other two made way to the stop with road access. The sun had sent and the two of us that biked back to the shop made way to the parking lot of the stop with road access. It was maybe only about ten minutes after we got there that we saw the Pocono Biking truck (aka the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen) pass us and drive up the trail. Maybe another ten minutes later, the truck- driven well after closing by James, who was AWESOME!- made it’s way back to the parking lot with the two of us that stayed behind, all was well, and we didn’t even get charged extra.
Cannot recommend Pocono Biking enough!!

Great experience biking in the Pocono Mountains in Jim Thorpe, PA. Self paced and not too difficult, with plenty of Photo opportunities! My only regret is that we didn't make a full day of it!!

Our family recently had an incredible experience with Pocono Biking in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, doing their 25-mile ride In early August 2024. This adventure is perfect for people of all shapes, sizes, and ages. The trail is generally flat with a slight overall 2% grade slope in your favor, making it manageable and enjoyable.
The bikes provided were in decent condition, considering they’re used frequently on the trail. The Pocono Biking team was fantastic—very friendly and clearly knowledgeable about what they’re doing. The bikes are Trek bikes, and while some people opted for e-bikes, we didn’t find them necessary unless you really struggle with long distances. Our group included riders aged 66, 65, and 24, and we all had a great time.
The ride itself is quite scenic, though somewhat monotonous at times. The path is a well-maintained crushed gravel trail, ensuring a smooth ride the entire way. One of the highlights was the chance to see the local scenic train pass by—perfect for a quick photo or video opportunity.
A couple of things to note: the van ride to the starting point takes about an hour. It’s an old school bus without air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable on a hot day, but it wasn’t a problem for us. Drinks and snacks are available at their place of business at the start of the ride, and you can pick up a sandwich in the small town before starting the ride. There are bathrooms and water stations along the way, but no other places to get food, so plan accordingly.
Overall, Pocono Biking offers an awesome experience. The ride is long but rewarding, and the staff’s expertise and friendliness make it even better. Highly recommended for a fun and scenic biking adventure!

The e bike (pedal assist) was a wonderful adventure. We made it to around mile 117 on the trail and back in little over an hour. Highly recommended!

Husband and I did the 25 mile Lehigh trip as a fitness challenge. We finished the trail in 2.5 hours. Even though it was a heat wave day at 95 degrees with high humidity, many parts of the of the trail were in the shade and near water. Lovely scenery, waterfalls, lots of picnic benches and places to rest or eat. About the halfway mark has public bathrooms. Lots of water falls, caverns, cliffs, and places to get into the river when it's hot.
We had good bikes too, they were comfortable. My bike fit my Stanley cup full of ice, so I stayed hydrated in the heat. We also rented a basket for $5 to carry our stuff. Returning in August for the 36 mile challenge! If you love biking, take this trip! Shuttle was great too.

An easy-to-find bike shop and rental facility for bikes. It’s a great shop with a variety of bikes and gear, as well as clothes and souvenirs. Loved the option to rent different types of bikes- ebike, gravel, basic hybrid, and more. We got to grab some rentals and bike on the nearby trail. Was a little meh about the nickle and diming of add ons, like insurance and bike packs. However, it was affordable and convenient. Love all of the options!

Easy check-in. Took good care of our bikes on the shuttle. Beautiful scenic trail ride from White Haven back to Jim Thorpe.

We did 25 miles bike trail from White Haven to Jim Thorpe. Trail has been well maintained and mostly flat , lot of shades and picnic tables. Pocono Biking are very professional. Great customer service and their bikes are very well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride. In middle of trail, it was raining (pouring) heavily and still we managed to ride through it except our back were all covered with mud. if showers are expected, get a bike with mud guard to avoid them. Overall great experience and kudos to Pocono biking.

The staff at Pocono Biking go way above what I feel is required to make the biking experience fun and enjoyable. Along the way, you get to learn while on the trail, the size of the trips make them very relaxing.
The accomodations and food along the way are amazing. You never have to stress about where you will be staying, because they always pick great places to stay along the trail.
Support is top notch and even when offering to help, they always put you first and want you to enjoy and have a good time. It's like being on a family outing and I recommend them for any supported ride you may want to take.

We enjoyed riding along the D&L trail. We did the 25 miles cycling trip from White Haven to Jim Thorpe and it was a wonderful experience. The road is mostly flat or downhill and is lined with trees on both sides. We got to see the buttermilk falls and Luke falls. On one of the patches there was the mountain on one side and the canal on the other side, we could see people enjoying white river rafting. We paid around $50 for the bike and shuttle combined and felt that the experience was worth the money.

I did this my senior year of high school back in 2011, and I'm thinking of going this year again. The views are breathtaking.
