I go a little out of my way to mail things from this post office because of the friendly/knowledgeable staff, short wait times, and ease of finding nearby parking. Highly recommend!

I was told that I couldn't bring my service dog/ESA in the post office. Didn't even asked me for my documentation. They need to train their employees before they get sue. Ridiculous

Your typical post office. Lazy, slow, indifferent employees. Screaming customers, especially the entitled illegal immigrants. Long lines. But somehow, the job gets done, usually faster than FedEx, UPS, and all other common carriers.

Worst post office ever! In December 2019, the USPS supervisor Veronica at the USPS office located on 601 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046, got into a disagreement with the manager of the condo complex that I live in. As a result, Supervisor Veronica instructed all postal carriers NOT TO DELIVER ANY PACKAGES TO THE CONDO COMPLEX WHERE WE LIVE! I learned that because suddenly I stopped receiving packages, so I spoke to one of the carriers. They told me they were instructed by supervisor Veronica not to deliver any packages to the condominium complex whatsoever. There are 166 units here with many seniors who do not drive who rely on the USPS to deliver their medications. We live in Wyncote, and why are we not dealing with the Wyncote Post office? Why are we stuck with having to deal with this rotten post office and management team in Jenkintown? I have lived here for over 20 years and never had a problem with the USPS until now. I have lost so many packages due to the repeated refusal of this post office to deliver them. This USPS office on West Avenue in Jenkintown is the worst agency to deal with, and I hope that they run out of money and get shut down. FedEx and UPS deliveries are much more reliable, and they do their job without trying to spite an entire community. What you are doing to myself and all of the other residents living here is just plain rotten. I hope that someone higher up at the USPS reads this review and does something about it because it's the only hope that we have.UPDATE May 16th, 2023. Out of the blue in 2021 our packages started to be delivered again. We all wondered why. This is the absolute truth. The Supervisor Veronica, who forbade all packages to be delivered to our Condominium community, committed suicide and how horrible that is! This fact was confirmed when i visited the post office and inquired. Now we dont have any problem receiving our packages now. This never should have happened.

If you want to get your passport photo taken, make an appointment on USPS online and then CALL the post office directly at 215-884-6078 option 0 to talk to someone on the day of and confirm that they have someone on site to take your picture. Apparently there is poor communication between the USPS online site and the local POs, so they don't always know that you're coming. Once the person was on site to take my photo, things went swimmingly, and everyone was very nice and helpful. I was there first thing on a Monday morning and there were a few people coming in, but never a real line. The postmaster took my photo and the desk clerk was friendly in helping me send in my passport application via certified mail (they don't process passports there, just do the photos). If you wind up needing to kill time, there is a coffee shop a block down the street at the light. Note: Parking is on site and free here, but not super plentiful (maybe 5 spaces?).

I went here to return a pair of shoes and asked for help with what box to use and the lady spoke to me so disrespectfully and then proceeded to say “I’m not boutta sit here and help you find a box that fits” and that is just not how you speak to a customer. I will never go back here even though I live around the corner.. highly recommend going elsewhere to be spoken to with respect.

Show up ready to ship your product, they are not there to hold your hand and package your product for you, grow up. This location is fast and efficient if you know what you are doing, if not you will struggle.

I have been going to this Post office for 32 years. What the heck happened!!They no longer tape a small package, the size of an envelope. How did this Post Office become stingy? I went back home to tape my tiny package, and went to a different Location near me. The is my new Post office from now on. Good Bye Jenkintown Post Office. BTW, the men employees are a gentlemen, and Linda is kind and wonderful. As of today, I wish them the best.

Opened late and rudely ignored me waiting while they were supposed to be working. When, after their posted opening hours had passed, I asked if they were open, one worker snarkily said "Is that a rhetorical question?" When they finally opened 10 minutes later, nobody acknowledged it or apologized.

I’ve been to this PO a few times with negative experiences. But yesterday will be my last time there.I’m an online reseller that uses USPS shipping 98% of the time. As a reseller I’m aware that any priority mail items can use post office supplies for free. Well yesterday when I greeted “Mike” (I overheard someone call him that so that’ll be his name) he looked at me annoyed as if I interrupted his lunch & told me to wait. Fine. I then asked if I could borrow some tape. I tape up my items & hand the package & tape back to him with a thank you. He proceeded to charge me for the tape & I was caught off guard & when I asked why he said, “Did you expect the tape to be free?” I replied “in fact I did” he angrily says, “So you want me to pay for it out of my money?”. I tell him his hostility is misdirected & unnecessary. As I pay $4 for the tape he tries to give me back my change & I tell him to keep it. He obviously needed it more than I did smh.Other experiences have been similar but this takes the cake. If you can go to another location I highly recommend avoiding this one.

Like all USPS, they act like they are the DMV. Not nice, vulgar, talk down to you. Especially the lady with puffy hair. Like Taxis, USPS will soon be gone when Amazon comes in and does the same thing thing better and more efficiently.
