Jenkintown Electric was highly recommended to me when I moved to the area over 35 years ago. It was a good recommendation and I have been a repeat customer over the years. Long overdue, I am now passing along my recommendation for Jenkintown Electric.Jenkintown Electric is in the heart of Jenkintown. While they do not have their own parking there is plenty of public parking available (I never had an issue).People have commented that the showroom is small. This is correct but the bonus is that you are picking appliances from among the few best rather than trying to find the best from among the many mediocre. Nevertheless, based on your need, Jenkintown Electric will be able to help you identify and select whatever model you need.Jenkintown Electric is family run and the staff is always friendly and helpful; service you can’t get from the big box stores. I have always been pleased.When I moved to the area, I bought a washer & dryer from them. I was happy with the price, they installed them, and they lasted until recently with few repairs. Can’t beat that.When I remodeled my kitchen years later, I returned to Jenkintown Electric and purchased a refrigerator and range from them. Again, they installed promptly and efficiently. Completely satisfied.Recently we wanted to buy a dishwasher that matched the refrigerator and range. No question, we returned to Jenkintown Electric. The dishwasher is great and super quiet. Another “home run”.While shopping for the dishwasher we saw a great dryer with larger capacity than our old Maytag. We came back and bought the dryer a month later. Their recommendation for the dryer was spot on and we are fully enjoying it.If you are in the market for appliances, I highly recommend that you stop by. You will like the personal service.

I’ve owned several homes and purchased many appliances over the years, but have never encountered the utter incompetence of the Jenkintown Electric team. Their installer came to the house prior to my purchasing the appliance. I specifically ordered an in stock range and after weeks & weeks of working with them, they just could not get it installed. Our electrician even ran new wiring to the manufacture’s specifications and it still didn’t happen. In all, the J’town Electric installer came to the house 3 times. He was unprofessional, insulting, and completely incapable. There were many phone calls back and forth between everyone involved, an extra visit to the showroom, calls from their installer to our electrician, all to no avail. We finally paid our electrician to return and do the installation. He was in and out in about 30 minutes.

Jenkintown electric is a true diamond in the rough. Small business with personal service. Once you buy your appliances here, you will never return to the big box stores.

My husband and I went to Jenkintown Electric in need of a refrigerator/freezer The woman we spoke to suggested her husband come out to look at my current refrigerator/freezer the next day. I waited for his call all day and he didn't respond when I tried texting/calling him. I called the woman the next day and she didn't call me back as well. We went to Gerhards appliances and was well received. Now, we have a new refrigerator/freezer. In addition Gerhards was lovely to work with and I am now a happy customer.

This was my first major appliance purchase ever and it couldn't have been easier! Dave the technician was kind and efficient and answered all of my questions and Mike was so nice and helpful and fair and gave me a great price on my new refrigerator. I went to the store but the owner could not help me for long because he had to unload a truck of merchandise. I left a few questions and my phone number per his instructions, but he never called me back. I called two times after that but he was too busy to call me. I guess they don't need my business.

We recently purchased a new GE Profile French door refrigerator from Jenkintown Electric. From start to finish the customer service both Lisa & Mike provided was great. The delivery by Steve & Ryan was also great! At first it didn’t seem they’d be able to get the fridge in my house; but, both Ryan & Steve went above & beyond and got it in. They are both friendly, professional, & accommodating. Highly recommend Jenkintown Electric for your appliance needs.

Great customer service. In the age of big box stores, Jenkintown Electric so refreshing. In the past 6 months we have purchased a new range and dryer from them. They answer the phone and are incredibly helpful with any questions. Ease of delivery, install, and removal of the old appliances makes doing business with JE a no brainer. Thanks!
