Had been with this vet for 6 years and recently changed due to a change in care. Vets seem negligent with care and careless. Issues my cat was having were completely dismissed. Please re-evaluate your practice.

We love this office. I've been taking my pets here since 2019. They always treat my cats with such respect and kindness. I've boarded my dog here a few times and never had any issues. Their boarding prices are in line with other places I've looked at. I'm impressed that they've kept the wellness visit fees the same for a few years now. I've seen prices rise just about everywhere on just about everything. They don't charge me for nail trims during wellness checkups. I've had two "emergency" visits that they squeezed me in for. Both times nothing needed to be done at the clinic, so I wasn't charged for the visit. This place is a half hour plus drive from my house, but definitely worth it.

My first visit to Hopewell was to have the remains of my cat of 18 years, Doctor Claw, cremated. The kind staff extended superlative compassion to me and gently handled my beloved kitty. There will never be another Doctor Claw, but there will be another cat, and that cat will surely be cared for by these good people.

Unfortunately, the front desk staff is rude and condescending. I had my dog boarded there for 8 days, which I received many mixed messages during her stay about the dog being sick (frantic sad voicemails left), the dog being fine (apologizing that the dog was fine don’t worry), etc. Management would not take responsibility for the miscommunication and on top of that, they charged me more than I was originally quoted. My dog came home from boarding *very* sick for 7 days post boarding, and again it was my fault and was told “this is like if you send a child to day care and they come home sick.” My dog had a bloody gash on her nose which staff did not acknowledge- if this was like a day care for children, the establishment would be closed due to abuse. Find somewhere else to bring you pet.

The most truly compassionate office. Had to put down my senior Golden last night and they totally accommodated us and were so sad for me. It’s not just a business; you feel like family there

The is our first vet so nothing to compare them against, but it's great. We just adopted a dog and Dr. Cooper got us caught up on vaccines, microchipped, and checked over. She also made sure all my questions were answered (and as a first-time dog owner, I had a lot).

When you call Hopewell vet hospital 80% of the time you get a recording. The recording instructs you to take your animal to blue pearl if it's an emergency. I thought this is Hopewell vet hospital. They don't take emergencies? I called them because my dog was constantly scratching himself and both groins were so bright red that looks like it was burning him. They gave me an appointment for one week later. Why would I want my dog to wait one week in pain? And this is not the first time they've done this to me when I was having a problem with my dog. By the way, when they called me back they asked me to send a photo of his groin and the rash and then the next day they got back to me and instructed me to give him Benadryl and then I have to wait a week for the visit. This is unacceptable. When your dog is not feeling well. I then proceed to call another vet in the area and they have what you call an urgent care visit. They took me right away. It was $160 but it well worth it because already days later he's doing so much better. The doctors in Hopewell seem very nice but when your animal has an immediate issue I don't think anybody realistically wants to wait out one week to be seen. Again. This is not the first time Hopewell has done this so I switched and I am so glad I did.

I've been taking my boy here for 9 years, and each time has always been a great experience. He gets his shots and checkups here as well as any urgent issue where he needs to get checked out sooner. The front desk staff is always welcoming and the doctors I have talked to have shown that they care. I've gone to other places before where I felt like they were just trying to milk every dollar from me but I never felt like that here.I can't thank them enough for caring for my dog when he was sick or injured. He is always scared and anxious when arriving but I know he is in good hands. Lately I noticed they are busier and that is understandable with the boom of more people getting pets, but every time I have visited here I did not feel rushed.Keep up the great work Hopewell team, you're literally saving lives!
