Same issue as last summer. No central air. Been using a window unit, as it looks like most apartments in the complex have a window unit now too. Office blames peco, peco blames outdated ac unit. When ac is turned on, it blows hot air. It's everyone else's issue apparently. Over $600 for peco bill. 1 month. We got blamed last summer and we moved in in May, "apparently we don't know how to use a thermostat" is what the excuse was, except it was only when the ac was running, the apt never cools down unless in the winter when its cold out. Now summer 2024. First peco bill in June, $600+ mind you, we pay over 3k/monthly to be this uncomfortable. Some positives- Maintenance guys are great and super nice. The location of the complex..... but uhhh. Not much of anything else.

The staff and management are friendly and efficient here. The community is inviting and the location is optimal. We feel safe and secure at Willowbrook and we are enjoying our home. It’s a very family and pet friendly atmosphere. The units are well maintained.

When we moved here in November I had high hopes for this property after being continuously let down with numerous other apartment complexes in the past, and to be fair moving in here was fairly seamless. That being said the list of maintenance issues to come up since we’ve moved in has been endless. I appreciate the maintenance team as it seems like there are only 2 men on said team and generally they have come by in a timely manner when it comes to these issues. Unfortunately though, this complex is not equipped to handle the weather over the summer. I pay $2500+ to live here, so understandably I expect to have the central air that my lease states is offered, to actually work. Since June of this year our original hvac in the apartment stopped working right when it became the hottest week of the year, since then it has been a month and a half and the management for this property have proven time and time again that they are not equipped to deal with this issue. I should not have to pay 2500$+ a month to inhabit an apartment that is 80 degrees and causing health problems for me and my family. The best they have been able to offer is window ac units that look and work as if they are even older than the shot hvac they had to now replace, and speaking of which they installed only to find that this brand new HvAC was faulty and needed a new motor. So now, weeks go by using crappy old window units to barely make a livable housing situation. And now we have just had to get the brand new hvac motor replaced and yet it continues to be 79 degrees inside. I no longer anticipate staying here after our lease is up as the management team has made it evident that they have no concern for their renters. I’ve been billed double my electric bill due to the old hvac not being able to cool the apartment even though we had it checked at the time and were assured it was working. I’ve spoken with the manager multiple times and although she comes off friendly, their is clearly no urgency or concern for those of us who live here. 2 stars because the men on the maintenance team do their best with what they have and arrive in a timely manner (most of the time).

Lamar G. is an excellent employee of Willowbrook Apartment Homes. Courteous and respectful he quickly surveyed the 10+ maintenance requests we had placed for my mother’s apartment at Place One. Not only did Lamar quickly address and fix all of our concerns he came up with a clever solution to a problem regarding her newly installed washing machine that previous employees were unable to address. The lid to the washing machine was unable to stay open and would fall onto my mother’s head and wrists when loading and unloading laundry. Lamar within minutes devised a solution and drilled in a hinge which could be employed to keep the lid in place while loading/unloading and then retracted when the washer is not in use. He then went the extra mile and offered to paint it white so the hinge would not be noticeable. He also reinstalled the washing machine as the hoses connecting cold and hot water to the washer were installed incorrectly and all loans were being washed with hot water. He addressed all of these concerns in a very short amount of time and my mother and I were very grateful for his work. We would love for Lamar to be able to address all our maintenance needs as in the past requests have been closed without being resolved appropriately. Lamar was only filling in at Place One Apartment Homes but I know we would love to see him again.

I give one star to the property, the apartments are very comfortable and the beautiful areas the other 4 (four) stars that are missing I do not add them because of the treatment received from the Leasing Office specifically Mrs. Toby who has invaded the privacy of my family, there was a small disagreement between her and my wife (due to the language, my wife does not speak perfect English) then she (Mrs. Toby) took the audacity to call my cousin who also lives in the complex and tell her about my wife’s anger, violating our privacy with third parties who are My family but they have nothing to do with my privacy nor are they in my rental agreement. For this and other things, the three families have decided to leave the complex at the end of the contract.

This star is due to the conditions of the apartment that I have and they are good... the ones that are missing are only due to the bad service in the office, if you don't speak English, please look for another place otherwise you will be treated differently! They charge $400 for delays of 10 days, if you want to refer someone and get the reward they promise it is a whole process that can take months and it is only $100, quiet area for children, small park, there is no force between floors so your noise may bother others

We had our first snowfall of the season, and the Willowbrook Maintenance team did an absolute amazing job. The roads were well salted at all times, the snowed surfaces plowed and walkways cleaned and safe. Hats off to the team!

The heat was not working on this cold winter’s morning. I phoned the emergency maintenance request line, and Lamar was here in 15 minutes. For the next two hours the maintenance team, Dwayne, the maintenance Supervisor, plus Larry and Lamar, worked on the heating system until it was running and the apartment was warming up.This is another example of the prompt and courteous service the maintenance department has provided over the years for our apartment home at the Willowbrook Apartments in West Norriton, PA. Quality maintenance care, along with the professional and always reliable management provided by Toby and Moe in the Leasing Office have made us feel at home and secure in our rental community. We are most grateful. Thank you!
