Arrangements were made and at the last minute they decided they could not accommodate the family leaving them scrambling to find another funeral home. This is a horrible thing to do to a grieving family. At least I know who not to do business with in this situation should we need it.I have never seen or heard of a situation where someone was “turned down” for a funeral. Smaller places than yours have had multiple funerals at the same time. You should be up front in telling people that if your loved one passes at the same time as someone else we can’t help you because we can’t handle it. No family wants to go through this process once let alone twice. Yes this is a delicate situation that you dropped the ball on. People need to be aware of how you operate.
