On 7/8/2024 my family and I were traveling from Reading, Pa back to Cincinnati when my 2016 Ford Explorer broke down on the turnpike. Luckily I was able to pull over right in front on the Donegal Maintenance garage. With the help of the turnpike employees we were able to determine that the alternator had gone bad.
It was 94 degrees that day and we had my daughter, granddaughter and their 7 week old pup with us. We the help of the maintenance employees we were able to get a wrecker to tow us to Mapstones Auto Service. Prior to departing with the wrecker I called Mapstone’s and gave them the information on my Explorer. When we arrived at their garage we were met by Ed, the owner who had the new part in hand. He allowed us to come into the A/C office and wait..Our vehicle was finished in 2 hours.
I can’t thank Ed & Dave the guy at the desk enough for their kindness & hospitality as well as the mechanics.What great service ! The cost was very reasonable and they were very kind to some stranded Bengal fans in Steeler country.

These guys are great. I broke down on the PA turnpike and managed to limp the car to these guys, they were super helpful and friendly, one guy even drove me to the enterprise siren the road so I could rent a car and be on my way.

Had bbk headers installed on my '19 RAM 1500 and they started leaking at the gaskets after just 2 weeks,I took it back and was told the gaskets had failed,not an installation error,ok so I asked him to order new gaskets and make me an appointment,my guy made me a new appointment for 8 days later when I dropped the truck off the day day before everything was good and they were going to fix it the next day, about 4 o'clock the next day I hadn't heard anything back yet so I called and was told that they forgot to order my gaskets and that it was going to take another appointment in about 8 more days so I took my truck and call another mechanic to have the work done,the mechanic told me that the original manifold gaskets had never been properly removed ( the pieces were still on there) ,sure sounds like my mechanic just slapped the headers on without care about a clean surface as the install manual says it needs to be done in order not to have any leaks, ?, this place is a complete joke, wasting my time and money,do yourself a favor and find someone else to do work for you, I won't be going back!!!

Put my van through there new car lift now won't fix it.Went to see about it Nick Machanic put his 2 hands on me and pushed me to the ground with aggression .Had 2 motors blow up in 2 year since they have been my service garage.Last visit to this place last time I went for a oil fix now I have a oil leak and tranny leak.Wish I would of never started going here.

These guys are at the top of their game. I've always worked on my own vehicle ever since I can remember, but when I need something done that's too much for me to handle, Mapstones is without question, the only place I trust. They don't nickel and dime you and they're always willing to help you out, even on their busiest days. Trustworthy, respectful, professional... No bulls*it. 10 stars.
