Bill serviced our minisplits for us. We had lines that were cut and needed to be insulated as well as brazed back together. All of which were done perfectly. He even noticed that the system was still not working properly and went out of his way to diagnose the issue and found faulty/burnt wiring. He fixed those for us as well and got our system working as good as new! If you ever need you’re minisplits serviced I cannot recommend him enough! Amazing job bill! Thank you so much!!

We had a Berrena technician come to repair our geothermal unit twice. Neither visit fixed the problem. We contacted another company who services our brand of machine for a second opinion. They told us the repairs done by Berrena were unnecessary. I called Berrena back about their charges ($1200), and they said it was past the 7 days allowed to dispute charges (it took longer than this to arrange for a second opinion). They did, however, drop the $200 they charged for travel! So I have to pay $1000 for incorrectly diagnosed problems and unnecessary labor/parts. Berrena wanted to come back and look again but I don't have confidence they know what to do, Also, the technician was impatient and often rolled his eyes when I asked him to explain what he was doing. Overall, it was not a good experience.

I had them doing maintenance for my Generac but never again.The work they did was fine,my issue was they were charging me for travel to my residence$100 hour I might add and not to mention your never notified of this.So they came out had to replace a battery terminal$7 part, and took the technician 25 mins.I was charged a hour of Labor $100,then another hour labor for them to drive here Alexandria to Sinking Valley (20 mins each way),then charged $30 service charge.Never have I had a business charge me a service fee and a hourly rate to drive to my residence to complete work.Bad Shady business practice.I contacted told them no way am I paying for you to drive to my residence especially after being charged a service charge for coming out here.There response was a letter and a $250 bill, thanking customers(fools) like me lol.I sent them $150 and if the want the rest they can take me to court and have there Shadyness exposed.Do Yourself a favor Call SomeOne Else!!!

8 months ago my parents had them come for water heater replaced. 6 hours and $1,636 later, my dad who can hardly walk had to get down in the basement when things weren’t working. Only to discover that EVERYTHING WAS WRONG. Was leaking all over the top and bottom, nothing bolted tight and it was a clear MESS. 2 men were sent to this job. So not only did it take 6 hours, but he had to pay $75/hr for both the person doing the “work” but also for the apprentice.

Been using the pros from Joes for years now. They have always been very professional and cater to any kitchen issues you have. And they even fixed the central air here during these dog days of summer. The technician was also in uniform, which if you own a restaurant, you know how important that is. He shared they cover a good bit of the state and after all these years, I can see why.

If I owned a business there would be no question on who I'm calling for all my needs. World class company from wonderful woman I spoke to on the phone all the way through to the technician and billing. Highly recommend!

I have used this company multiple times. I needed a service call on my furnace when it wouldn't provide heat.the technician arrived and worked on my unit in very thorough manner, he replaced the part that was needed and explained the repair process to my husband. We were billed for his travel time and time at our residence. I was told by the polite office staff that they do charge for travel and the company rates. Was billed appropriately. Subsequently my husband and I decided to have our heating/cooling sources cleaned and maintained the following season. I called to set up said service the friendly,polite woman at the office explained the prodical for my request and I set up the appointment. This time a different technician arrived and cleaned our unit replaced filters and blew out the outside unit witha garden hose and chemicals on the coils and removed debris.he explained to my husband what he was doing and the entire process.any time we used this company the staff have rectified our repair and have always provided excellent professionalism and billing was also within reason.i highly recommend them for any hvac needs.

I must say when I had this company out last week to work on my central air they were very professional showed up in record time and got the job done within my budget. I would recommend them to any of my family and friends. They cleaned up their mess and told me if I had any more problems to call back immediately. They will be my one and only go to company for now on!!

HVAC stopped working at our cabin. My husband called Berrena because they were LOCAL in Huntington. Technician arrived, nice enough guy. Opened our unit and found a dead mouse had shorted out our capacitor. Removed mouse...asked my husband to turn on unit. Did a voltage check. Talked for about 20 minutes and said he lives in Cassville, about 15 minutes from our cabin and was heading home. Total visit, including chat was 30 minutes. Received bill for TWO HOURS. Called office and explanation was that tech’s previous appointment was in CENTRE COUNTY. So they charged us for travel from Centre County, when Berrena’s office is in downtown Huntington. WHAT??? My husband called to question bill and billing said that’s their policy, to charge next customer drive time from where tech was last. Husband asked to speak with owner, and was put thru to Matt Berrena. He said I’ll see you in court and hung up on my husband. Husband called several times to ask that 1 hour be removed from bill, then he would pay. Each time he was met with rudeness and unprofessional responses by Matt Berrena. THIS COMPANY RIPS OFF ITS CUSTOMERS AND CHARGES OUTRAGEOUS EXTRA FEES. Beware...you could be next! NEVER, EVER call Joseph Berrena Mechanical for service!!! Subsequent to this experience, we had another issue and called Allied Mechanical, also located in Huntington. Tech showed up, spent 50 minutes. We were billed for one hour. VERY happy with Allied! Call them if you need service!

Avoid. Their technicians do great work, but the company lacks professionalism or integrity. We were given a price for a water heater installation but later received an invoice three times higher than what was quoted. Initial conversations to fix the problem seemed positive - if they had admitted the error then I would have been happy to work out a compromise, but instead they ignored us and sent multiple unchanged invoices, now with late fees. Ultimately we rewarded their tactics by paying the invoice rather than get sent to collections. Bottom line: if you do work with this company, get everything in writing, and even then be prepared for the bait-and-switch.
