I see many unhappy reviews here but my mother and father live here and the postman/woman are super friendly and efficient. The postal clerks have treated me kind and expediently and did everything they could to help me about my passport problems.

This office is horrible. Since moving to Hughesville many, many, many packages are delivered late. Bills, tax bills etc never delivered and I had to pay late fees because I never received the bill. Many packages arrive damaged. And the worst of all packages marked delivered are not delivered. I have made several complaints and it still continues. If I could give them zero stars I would.

I have had many packages go missing once they’ve arrived at this location. I’ve also had many packages delivered days after the items have arrived at this location.

Awesome, is all I can say about the staff at this post office. They are helpful, patient and friendly with what ever task that you ask from them.

They do pretty well, but I told them three times that I want my mail held there for me to pick up and things have gone out for delivery. The mail carriers have lost my packages and then marked them as delivered. It’s not happening again. Hold my mail.

The lady that delivers the mail smokes cigarettes in the mail truck. It's very unprofessional!

Since 2020 when the new Post Master General was appointed things went downhill; bills and notices that I had always received on time were suddenly a week late, sometimes more. In fact even personal letters suddenly took several days longer to receive and occasionally an ordered package wasn't delivered . It's almost as though there was a concerted effort to make the postal service look bad and untrustworthy. Even the nice and courteous carriers seemed to disappear. Heavens, I sure hope I'm wrong and this was all just a nightmare but, I'm still looking for the sign that will confirm a reversal back to Postal Service that was once the standard.

Service sure has changed in the last 10 years at our USPS office. Used to be a time when you could call down to your "local" post office to see if a package arrived too late for your carrier to take and we could pick it up later in the day when it was convenient (i.e.on your way home from work or running an errand). It seems now they're too busy with a large Amazon contract to be able to even set packages aside for later in the day. If that's the case they need more staffing or just better trained staff to be able to accommodate the needs of the community (their customers). Not asking for special treatment or holding other customers up for them to look, just asking for a little common courtesy which the world all seems to need more of these days.

I really want to know if anyone else has been having packages come up missing after it gets to the Hughesville Pa. Post Office. We have had ALOT of packages come up missing and undelivered from this specific lacation seems very very strange. This place and its employees need investigated!

Very mean to my mom. Baby Birds were living in mail box and it's illegal to remove them. Mail man removed them and threw the birds on the ground. My mom put them back and called post office next morning and lady got mean and sassy and said it's my mom's job to remove them. She said she can't because it's illegal and called wild life reserves and left them a message. Lady said oh well I guess you can come and pick up your mail then. Very rude, disrespectful, tried to do something illegal and lady didn't believe her. This government is hiring some of the worst employees and something needs to be done about it. Not to mention the mail man breaking lids and smashing onto mail boxes destroying every one that was put in.

Several times now packages were not picked up from my home adress that are sticking out of the top of mailbox. Obviously the carrier is not doing their job correctly or checking for packages needed picked up from residential addresses.
