We rented a storage unit for a few months, every month owner would call us days before the due date to let us know he likes to be paid early. Keep in mind we were NEVER late our payment was due on the 24th and the payment was made by the 20th. I have cashed checks to prove this. We removed our vehicle from the unit on August 20th, the owner said the unit was perfect and we would receive our deposit back by the end of the month, 2 weeks later we still didn’t have the deposit, he was not answering the phone so we stopped in. At this time he said he has 30 days, after review of our contract we agreed. On 9/27 we still didn’t have deposit, called and spoke to James and he advised me the check would be in the mail that day, he would not let us pick the check up, he said we would have it by Friday/ Saturday at the latest. It is 10/3 we still don’t have the deposit and he is hitting the reject on all calls to him. Called from a different number and was able to leave a message advised him we will go to magistrate. He bothered us for early payment every month but will not honor the legal binding contract to return our money!! Would not recommend to anyone!!!!Edit:I wanted to update this review to say we FINALLY got our deposit back, it took 47 days. Still would not recommend. The owner called my home at 9:02 at night cussing me out and threatened to sue me for the review. I advised that the review was accurate and truthful, at which point he agreed he failed to return our deposit per our contract. He also sent a threatening email to my husband who was in the agreement, he acknowledged he failed to send us our deposit but then continued to threaten us with a lawsuit. We have obtained an attorney and after review of proof has advised they will take our case and defend us, if needed, as nothing in the review was on a personal or slanderous nature and we have all the proof.
