I want to share my experience with this location, as I've consistently ordered online and picked up in-store from various Ulta locations without any issues—until I visited the Horsham, PA location. On September 4, 2025, I ordered Beyoncé's Cécred hair serum and oil online for in-store pickup, as it was more convenient for my job. At the time of ordering, they only had the oil available and planned to ship the serum. Since I specifically needed the serum, which I had used before with great results, I decided to cancel the oil order.
When I arrived at the store, I spoke with the cashier—a light-skinned girl—and requested that she cancel the order. She called the manager, who confirmed that the cancellation should be processed. I left the store believing my order was canceled. I then placed a new order for the serum and successfully picked it up at the Northeast Philadelphia location without any issues.
However, on September 6, 2025, I received an alert from my bank notifying me that I had been charged for the oil, which had been marked as picked up. The next day, I returned to the store and spoke to the manager, who informed me that refunds take five business days and assured me that I would be refunded. Five days passed, and I had not received my refund.
I contacted my bank to dispute the charge and returned to the store on September 16, 2025. I spoke with the manager again and requested store credit, but he informed me that was not possible. He mentioned needing to call customer service, but the representative was unhelpful. As of today, September 20, 2025, I still have not received my refund. If you order online and decide to cancel, be sure to monitor your account in the following days. I wouldn’t have known about the charge if I hadn't received the alert.

I came August 31, I did a mobile order, I came in and was told that my order wasn’t ready and I said that I only got one things, This Hispanic short women proceeded to do my order and asked me for an id, I have never been asked for an ID, I told her the order number so it was no way I was stealing anything. I told her I have a picture of my ID and she proceeded to say I need a physical one. She gives me an attitude and go to ring other people out to not help me. This nice women comes over and asked me if I had an order, and I said my order and she was very nice and gave me my order even smiled unlike the other one, she asked for no ID or anything. Whoever that Hispanic girl was she shouldn’t be in customer service, I felt racial profiled.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at Ulta. I’ve been a loyal customer and spend a significant amount of money at this store, but the way my family were treated during my recent visit was unacceptable.
The staff were incredibly disrespectful and rude, particularly to my daughters. The girls were followed around the store as if they were doing something wrong, which made them feel extremely uncomfortable. This behavior was completely unnecessary and insulting.
As a customer who supports this business, I expect to be treated with respect not to have my family subjected to such unprofessional and demeaning treatment. Ulta needs to address how their staff interact with customers to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Went to this store to use a gift card from my son. I will NEVER come back again. The guy at registration was so rude. I was standing in back of a lady for 5 minutes. He precedes to tell me im not in a line. I offered to leave . He was extremely rude. Will not be coming back.

Waited WAAAAY longer than necessary in line. One person working the register with 6 people in line. Then they made the person sign up for something while we are all sitting there just waiting to make our purchases. It literally took the person in front of me a good 6 to 7 minutes to get through the line. Very frustrating.

All the people who work at this Ulta are very nice. I have been here a couple times now and every time I go everyone is friendly, patient, and willing to help. Good customer service. :)

Believe it or not, the MANAGER of the salon did the “before“ photos of my hair. Yeah, you read that correctly. The ONLY reason this is getting 3 stars is because of the Elite Stylist at this location- Mary. She saved my hair and talked me in to coming in to get it fixed (her work is me in the red shirt).
I initially went in and told the manager of the salon how ugly I’ve been feeling since my first baby, and that my hair is patchy from previous box dye. “I’m not sure if I’ll need a color correction?” I said. she proceeded to put 30 volume from root to ends, didn’t make enough so she had to pause and make more. Leaving the top of my head frying, while the ends we’re dry.
There is no way she didn’t see how bad it was once she was blowing my hair out. Countless opportunities to say “you know what, this didn’t come out right. Please come back ____ so we can get this right” Nope. Just took the 20% tip and sent me on my way.
The manager of any salon should be the creme of the crop. Every stylist in that salon should be able to depend on their manager for guidance, and I will tell you right now, she might be good at managing, but has years of work to do with coloring. Despite the redo being EXCEPTIONAL (THANK YOU MARY!!!) I will be demanding a refund from ulta as a company. Aside from the initial experience, I had to find last minute child care to get it fixed and not once received a call back from a general manager or district manager on their own. I had to call back repeatedly to get answers. I’m out more money than I would’ve been if the manager did it right the first time.
Mary, if you ever have your own spot I’ll see you again!! ❤️

Another customer just rudely said excuse me to my daughter and told them to move and pushed through them. When I told her not to speak that way to my daughters, an employee butted in and told me that “she said excuse me” but in any normal society the tone and rudeness with which she said it while pushing through them is not acceptable. Won’t ever go back.
