This place is an amazing hidden gem. A true retro store! The vibes are immaculate. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the beautiful and unique pieces you'll see. The set up inside is such a cool space. The owner has it set up in rooms with pieces that look really nice together. There is everything from decorations to furniture to clothing, vintage sewing patterns , games, old toys, beauty items and hat boxes, glamorous clothing and hats, furs, old cassettes and records, working radios, liquor glasses etc. Vintage, retro, antique, unique. I love it!! Please go and see for yourself.

Fabulous mid century furniture! The owners have a good eye and they always have something new! Great prices too! I bought my 1960's bar there (see picture)! It makes parties fun!

I absolutely love Retro on 8th! Popped in for the first time today and was incredibly, pleasantly surprised by the impressive selection. This is the kind of store I actively look for. It's perfectly curated, and is the kind of place you where you can make several passes and see something new every single time. Prices are fair. Quality is unsurpassed. Bought two Barcelona chairs and I could not be happier.

This shop is now my absolute favorite shop in Pittsburgh. It's IMPECCABLY curated, while still being very reasonably priced (two things that don't typically go together in antique shops). The owner was super friendly, and insisted on giving us a discount on an ashtray due to a hairline fracture. I expect to go back on a regular basis.

Small shop that has more than reasonable prices for mid-century modern furniture and other vintage decor. This store has a very sweet owner that always recognizes me, no matter if I was just there yesterday or it’s been 6 months. Would highly recommend checking this out on a Saturday!

Great selection + friendly service. Gave me an additional discount on some items that had been on the rack for awhile. Stumbled upon the place while waiting for a restaurant to open and so happy I did - Can’t wait to go back soon.

Beautiful products and furniture. I purchased my wall sail boat here. While it does have a lot of cool tchotchke to look at, I would like it more if it had more items I wanted to purchase.

I LOVE this place! It is a bummer that they aren't open more hours, but I will take what I can get. And it just means there is more for ME! They have a ton of awesome stuff from cool retro furniture to funky lunch boxes from my youth. Even if you don't buy anything, (which is unlikely as they are so well priced and have an amazing selection!) it is worth the trip to just check out all the goodies and get nostalgic.

There is some cool stuff in here, that's for sure. It's laid out with mostly furniture in the front and mostly clothes, toys, and other small housewares in the back, including old records, electronics, etc. Most of their furniture seems to be in great quality. Why only 2 stars? First, the reliability - I have come by this place many times on my way through this block of 8th Ave only to find them to be closed in the middle of most weekdays. I've mentioned it to others, they all thought it had closed. I imagine I know how Peter felt on Easter morning when Jesus's tomb was open, having come across this store during a time it was open. Second - The staff. We walked in, stayed for about 40 minutes, discussed many of the pieces, and even spoke about buying a few(large) pieces and not once did the woman who (owns?) worked behind the desk look up from restoring a small toy. It's one thing if you don't care to be particularly friendly(Maybe even a good thing - I walked into Mostly Mod after and couldn't get out of there in less than 30 minutes because we kept chatting), but to totally ignore potential customers is unacceptable. So I left empty handed on principal, although there were a few smaller pieces I could have been coerced into buying. Would I stop in again? If I had the option to, yes. Maybe it was a bad day, and the stuff is definitely worth looking at.
