“Although I did not get a dress at Sabrina Ann’s, I had such a great experience. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and my consultant, Kim, was SO helpful. Kim made the experience so stress free and I came out with a better idea of what I am looking for! The shop is a laid back and comfortable environment and I would definitely recommend checking it out.”

“I found this place via Marketplace after a long search to find the perfect credenza. The owner is an expert at curating quality pieces and is incredibly fair in his pricing for items and delivery. He also managed to find the perfect nightstands for me (over text based on my loose description!) saving me another search. If you’re looking for top notch customer service and well crafted products at great prices, this is the spot!”

“A MUST STOP when in the area! I try to stop in The Alley Door whenever I am nearby. The inventory is always new and there’s many hidden gems. In today’s visit my sister found a vineyard vines sweatshirt, a rails dress and a black linen dress. She also purchased some very cute tea cups. I found a new hat and brand name swim trunks for my husband, an adorable brass sailboat figurine, and a pair of RL shorts. I’ve always found something here that I either needed or couldn’t pass up for the GREAT prices!!! Carol is a doll. And the shop is organized and fun to shop in. Stop in, have an open mind, and see what you can find. There’s definitely treasures to be found.”

“This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”

“Mesh is my favorite vintage store in Philly and possibly on the planet! I have been shopping here for years, and owe this store for probably half of my wardrobe. Mesh is a seriously rare breed these days - a curated store of all vintage pieces, with pricing that actually allows you to buy and enjoy things!! Harder and harder to find in this era of online vintage resale and exclusive pricing. The owner of this store puts SO much work into sourcing everything and running this shop. Have found gems from the 1910's - 1980's here, casual stuff., jeans, formal wear, dresses, shoes etc. My friends and I are all obsessed with this store. Do not miss out.”

“Super narrow and packed with unique finds. So many weird collectibles and a drink stirrer drawer?? Such a fun visit for a lazy Sunday after brunch. I've been fascinated with this place since coming to the city years ago.(**Picture is from 2018)”

“Exceptional consignment partner. Been working with The Velvet Shoestring for a few years. Two designers had previously told me to work with The Velvet Shoestring and I wish I started consigning with them years ago. They're courteous, professional, and customer friendly. Timely payments for the consignor. And, a GREAT place to shop for high-end furniture, art, & furnishings.”

“This is a great shop! They have limited hours and since I'm not in that part of the state often, it took me months to finally get inside! It was worth the wait! The staff (or they might be volunteers) are always friendly and helpful. The items are displayed beautifully and everything is clean. It's fun to find something that you never knew you were looking for until you spot it!”

“Remix is a hidden gem in the city of Philadelphia. Their products are top quality with great pricing. I recently bought a Fendi crossbody bag that was absolutely brand new with tags. I get so many compliments and saved quite a bit. So many beautiful things to choose from. Great place for a last minute outfit for a date or the many smaller items and jewelry as a last minute gift!

You can tell the owners care as they are more than willing to show you around and help with choosing an item. I love shopping here. You will too.”

“This store is always my first stop when shopping for something unique for my home. Well...once again, ReDecor Home Consignment did not disappoint. I went looking for a console table. Left with a console table, a mirror, and Oh MY GAWD...a Burberry pocketbook. A consignment shoppers dream! But, it was those "raw iron candle stick holders" that shook-up my emotions. They are simply beautiful. Thank you Reina. You are one of a kind! Signed, the candle stick customer.”

“We found a piece of furniture we’d both been searching for for DECADES here at an amazing price! Found some smaller items too. What a fun and reasonably priced treasure hunt. Some other reviews had us hesitant to visit, but I truly can’t wait to shop here again. The staff was helpful and friendly. The furniture piece was waiting for us out back when we pulled up. 100% check them out”

“Love this shop! I moved from Philly to Bryn Mawr and was excited to have a trendy thrift store with parking 3 minutes from my house! The music and atmosphere are great and I find it relaxing to browse around every few weeks and see what’s new. It’s clean, the staff are very friendly and the items span basic $3 bin stuff to higher-end name brand…all priced very fairly.I found a dress for my bridal shower, practically brand new high top Vans sneakers, cozy sweaters for winter, dress pants and a top for a holiday party. I love the benefits of buying used for the environment, the thrill of the hunt, and getting a lot for a little. Hope this place sticks around for years to come! I’m a loyal customer and I tell everybody to check it out! Thanks Renaissance!”

“As far as uniqlo go, this one is very standard. Inventory is pretty normal as well. All the staff have been great for me. They do have this thing where at least one of the escalators are always out of order though. My only gripe is that when coming here to pickup online orders, it can be a challenge to find someone to get your order as pickup is not at the front desk but in a corner of men's tucked away downstairs. Overall, great place for a uniqlo”

“I stopped in the store for something else... had no idea it was a consingment / ebay store. While chatting I saw a novelty item sellling for $50. I really wanted it so I'm like here's my $50 and was ready to take it off their hands. However, another person had reserved it although they hadn't been back to get it. So he did not sell it to me. I thought that was honorable. It had been a long while so he could have easily sold it to me and just given the other buyer their deposit back.”

“Had a great shopping experience here! The manager, Rasan, was amazing! He is so stylish and had me looking so fly for my Hobby horse convention. I was also td the store may buy some of my old suits that I plan to bring in.
Thanks again Rasan! You're the man! Highly recommend asking for Rasan if you visit the location on Chestnut.”
