“I try to make time at least once a week to stop here. Last week, I bought a practically brand new beach cruiser for 19.99. Last year, I scored a chinchilla coat for $45 (I accidentally knocked over an older woman, trying to beat her to it, but she only sustained minor injuries).”

“Chanticleer is an absolutely breathtaking space. Better than Longwood, in my opinion! Do not miss this garden in the Philadelphia area- it’s truly the best one!We love to head to Terrain afterwards (8 min drive away) for lunch and to browse garden goodies / souvenirs :)Picnic area: They have tables near the kitchen gardens for picnics!”

“We found this place by chance on a drive and we really enjoyed it. The place was opened to the public and there were volunteers at the entrance that were able to answer questions concerning the once private residence. The paths were very well managed and the gardens (even though still early spring) were lovely. Great place to relax and take in nature. We highly recommend.”

“Adoptions From The Heart is an excellent adoption agency. Their staff is knowledgeable and caring, and they truly care about birth mothers and adoptive families. We were impressed with their level of professionalism and attention to detail throughout the adoption process. They helped us navigate the legal complexities of adoption and made the entire process as stress-free as possible. We highly recommend them to anyone considering adoption.”

“Books Through Bars does excellent work in sending free book packages to inmates in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. They're completely volunteer-run & host volunteering sessions for people to help pick/pack books. Volunteer organizers are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend volunteering there! You can just drop in & spend 30 minutes or a few hours, whatever you like. Whenever I volunteer there, it feels like I'm really making a difference in someone's life -- because I am. It's an eye-opening experience that gives me a new perspective. Books Through Bars also takes donations (money, books they need, supplies) so there are lots of ways to support them even if you can't make it down there in person.”

“My family went for a Sunday swim day and they really enjoyed themselves. I got there a little later than everyone but really enjoyed watching my grandchildren have fun. I did get a chance to get in the pool which is a little small but clean. Nice place for families.”

“There is plenty of activities for the whole family (members only) such as sports, seniors fitness, weight training and swimming. Saunas to relax after a workout. There are many different classes with Trainers and scheduled classes. On street paid parking meters and also free parking in the Ymca parking lot in the back. The lot is not big but if you get there at the right time you maybe able to get a parking spot.”

“I'm so happy I came here! I was looking for a dog friendly coffee shop where I could grab some breakfast and a coffee and this place exceeded my expectations. The art around the place is gorgeous, the patio has this pretty mural type thing on the outside and you can tell it's well taken care of. My breakfast panini was delicious! My drip coffee was great as well. I'll definitely be back! It's also great knowing the social background of this place, makes me feel like I'm contributing to something positive. Also 10/10 for dog friendliness, they offered my dog a treat and were very nice towards her.”

“What a great shop! They have a wonderful selection of gifts, including things for adults, kids, and babies. They also have a wonderful selection of locally made gifts (only place I've ever seen Bryn Mawr-themed items!) and Philadelphia sports-themed items. I got all my holiday shopping done in one stop! I also got to meet Eric who was wonderful, and he helped me pick out the perfect gift for my mother. I was also glad to hear about the wonderful work the shop supports. Their new space is beautiful and welcoming; I can't recommend this shop enough! Of note, their address in Yelp is incorrect. They are now located at 814 W. Lancaster Ave (right down the street from the Bryn Mawr film institute).”

“If you want to give your kids a lifelong love for the game please I implore you to sent them to Legacy. The program for munchkins are well designed for fun and also most importantly the fundamentals in the game. I’m very much impressed with the drills that are used on 4-7 year olds. I wished I had this as a child. The ratio of coach to kids were 1 to 4 on average depending on the day but not more than 1 to 6.”

“I attended the Bike Church and I felt immensely supported in a repair that I knew basically nothing about. Having been to other “bike churches” in similar pinches I can say that this is one of the better ones. I think offerings like this are some of the most important and amazing gifts in the world.I highly recommend ?”

“There are so many things to love about this theater. It's one of those old school "event cinema" venues, ideal for film festivals (like the Philadelphia Film Festival held here). The theater is also home to the Philadelphia Film Society, run by people who love and appreciate all aspects of a good cinema experience. As such, the Film Center has incredible sound design, top-tier projection, and a taught, clean screen. The staff here is also super friendly and solution's-oriented. There were a few instances in which I faced ticket purchasing issues, and the staff always went above and beyond to address them. Some downsides: They sometimes don't answer the phone or respond to emails (especially around festival times), the theater doesn't have precise blackout panels to match a film's aspect ratio (so films aren't always masked properly with the manual side curtains), and you won't find comfortable recliners here. But these cons are slight in comparison to the experience you get (right in Center City, to boot).I wish I lived closer to Philly so I could take fuller advantage of the Film Center's offerings. Regardless, as long as this theater keeps showing film classics on film and digital 4k, I'll remain a loyal patron!”

“Saunders Woods Preserve is a 25-acre haven of tranquility for both wildlife and the Gladwyne community. Donated to Natural Lands in 1988 by Dorothy Saunders, the preserve was originally known as “Little Farm” and has long been a place of refuge. The Bridlewild Trail meanders through the preserve, connecting to a network of community paths. Visitors can enjoy a lively forest habitat and an open meadow, which is home to various bird species. The circa-1830 barn adds historical charm and serves as a welcoming space for families, students, scout troops, equestrians, and community members.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my care at Lifecycle. All the staff are so pleasant and we really grew to love them like family. We love Shay & Rashidah! Oh and the lactation consulting appointments we had with Cara was spectacular. We really turned it around, as I was ready to give up breastfeeding. I love the convenience of having 2 locations for appointments- one in Bryn Mawr & the other in South Philly. South Philly was the first location we visited & we were welcomed from the start. I also appreciate the care outside of obstetrics that Lifecycle offer; I am highly considering switching my care after I’m done extending my family. Most of all, I appreciate how inclusive they were of my husband not only in the appointments but by also having him participate in listening to our baby’s heartbeat. Never once did he feel not seen or heard, which we both appreciated & loved. I cannot recommend Lifecycle enough.”
