“I visited Altoona Rescue Mission Thrift Store this week and was pleasantly surprised at how decent and affordable the pricing was. Unfortunately a majority of things were unmarked which made trying to shop awkward. The lady working the counter was very nice. The store was very clean a smidge too full but that isn't a bad thing when it comes to thrift stores.I'll definitely be back as this is the most affordable place to shop in Altoona currently.”

“This Goodwill Thrift Store features a large selection of clothes, shoes, household goods, decor, and miscellaneous items. Shopping at Goodwill benefits the local Community by providing work, employment, and job training skills. Since the store is small, it can become difficult and overwhelming to shop because it is easily overcrowded with shoppers. A longer wait in the check out line can be experienced due to the store having only two customer check out lanes. So make sure to give yourself plenty of time to be patient with yourself while shopping and other fellow shoppers alike. Selected colored tags are 50 % off. Be prepared to make your final purchases by 6:30 p.m. Announcements begin at 6:30 p.m. that they're closing and some of the lights are shut off to encourage shoppers to check out and make their final purchases before they close at 7 p.m. All sales are final so keep that in mind before purchasing. They are currently open 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., closed on Sundays.”
