AVOID. Moved only the larger furniture. Movers arrived in a small unmarked truck which was embarrassing. I hired a moving company, not a small truck. The moving guys had to rent a U-Haul (which I paid for) to finish loading. They damaged all of my furniture AND the brand new steps to my basement. We settled through the insurance. Never heard a word of apology from the owner.

I would not use E L Dinges for moving ever. This company was chosen my partners employer to move us from Illinois to Pennsylvania. We had to be in Pennsylvania before they were able to pick up our belongings. Therefore, we placed our belongings into storage and elected a friend to act as an alternate to be present when they loaded the truck in Illinois. They got upset with us when they tried to pick up our belongings a day early. Even though they were told they needed to call our alternate to see if she was available as she is an attending physician. When we finally got into our new apartment 3 weeks later and the belongings were delivered. Many of the larger pieces of furniture had damage that was not there when placed into the storage unit in Illinois.

I would not recommend this moving company. They were cheaper but you get what you pay for. I was not able to meet them at the storage unit where my belongings were delivered. They took advantage of that and literally threw things into the storage unit haphazardly. It is a royal mess. Many items are scratched up from their carelessness. They are to be professionals, an amateur could have packed the unit better than them.

Mover almost hit me while putting son in the truck for school. I was sandwich to truck if he was over a little more he would have killed me and took out my sister in law and son. While talking to driver he was intoxicated and not responding and not coherent. Not my moving company but a neighbor around the corner in a residential neighborhood while children was getting ready for school.

They took their time driving and they carried 2 things at a time so they could charge me more money. Ive discovered I'm missing items. (I even did a Lot of helping trying to save time/money).

Our tenants used this company and was quite happy with them. After doing a walk through of our home after they left we noted plenty of damage. Our tenants blamed EL Dinges for the damage to our new kitchen floor in particular and stated she bought insurance to cover it . After some communication with Dinges we learned our tenant lied to us and made false claims about the movers. Dinges did however came and took pictures and addressed our claim...kudos to them ..thank you

My father died 6 weeks ago and we had to scramble quickly from Pittsburgh to move my mom down to Florida To live with my sister. E.L. Dinges Moving and storage Has helped our family and other family members move throughout the state and out of state for over 40 years. Although Ernest and Bud dinges are now gone ,The youngest son and Bud’s wife continue to run this company as great as we can remember our last move in 2002,When he moved us to Pittsburgh.We called last week and although Deb said they were booked through the end of November and she would talk to Todd he returned our call promptly the next day and fit our huge move for my mother into his schedule and it is now so Comforting to know that she is safe and sound in Florida. Thank you to the Dinges family And the office staff including Jim the main driver and Deb in the office for helping us out and being so professional and sympathetic. We will continue to recommend and use this company for any and all moves we are ever a part of. They are simply the best!

DO NOT USE THEM TO STORE!!! OUR STUFF WAS COVERED IN MOLD AND RUINED AFTER ONLY BEING THERE FOR FIVE MONTHS. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE US ANYTHING, SAID IT WAS IN OUR CONTRACT

They were so good and so fast. 11 rooms home done in 12 hrs for 1300.00!I’m so glad all the big wigs in town told me to use them. I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO USE DINGES MOVING!Thanks

I don't recommend this moving company. After unpacking I found many items broken. I had many piece of furniture that had to be disassembled upon moving, I can't seem to find the hardware to put it back together now that I need it. Very disappointed
