UNREAL. Donna the owner blew me off completely for an in-person estimate not once but TWICE!! Seriously apologetic after the first time, "that's not how we do business," etc. so we rescheduled for a few days later and she did it again! No show, no text, no phone call, and then doesn't answer the phone.

What a disaster! I paid for my belongings to be stored in a controlled environment. I was told my belongings stored in the crates would be wrapped until delivery. When the items were delivered there were many damaged boxes, broken items the filth was disgusting. Most of my belongings were just thrown in the garage. It was obvious that they were stored or wrapped in a clean environment. I would not recommend them.

Three days to load the container! Are they serious? The website says "Load your storage container at your own pace." My pace is more than 3 days. If I could do it in 3 days I would get a U-Haul and haul it to a storage facility.

Absolute worst experience- if I could give less than 1 star, I would.We were told that we only had 3 hrs to move all of our belongings from our home into the Zippy Shell, when their website boasts up to 3 days. They wouldn’t even tell us what 3 hr window we would have to properly prepare/plan! All they could tell us was that the driver would call us when he’s 1hr away- which is ridiculous.Originally, we were told 7-10 business days for the delivery of our things to our new home. Now, we are being told that it will be at least 14 business days. Our Zippy Shell left our home on 8/4/21 with our belongings and when we called today (8/15/21) for an update, we are now being told that our Zippy Shell won’t arrive with our things until 8/24/21 or later and then we have to schedule for it to be delivered! This is absolutely ridiculous, we’ve paid a lot of money to use their moving service in an attempt to make our move easier or more convenient. We should’ve just rented a moving truck (we loaded the Zippy Shell ourselves anyway- with the help of friends in order to get everything loaded within the absurd 3 hr window) and driven it ourselves. Or, maybe we should’ve gone with another company.I DO NOT recommend this moving service to anyone!!!

I am a Program Manager, and hired these people to move one of my clients from a nursing rehabilitation center to her new apartment. They never showed up. They literally just didn't come. No heads up, no cancellation, nothing. I called them 31 times in four hours, and nobody answered. My client's ride couldn't wait any longer and she had to leave everything behind. We hired a different moving company for a better price and they told us that Zippy Shell does this frequently. Is they get a better job that pays more, they abandon the one they were committed to. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I don't know if any other companies offer the full service that Zippy Shell offers, but we feel so incredibly fortunate to have found them. Starting in freshman year, they picked up all of my daughter's belongings from her dorm room, stored them over the summer, then delivered everything to her new place the next school year. Not only do they pick up, store and deliver, but they also will help with packing and boxes for those who might not be quite on the ball. Donna and her team are also very kind and they were patient with my daughter (who might not always be quite on the ball...) I wish I could leave the review at that, but want to share some of the experiences that worked out well in the end but were pretty unsettling along the way: They unfortunately forgot about the scheduled pick up of my daughter's stuff her freshman year due to a scheduling snafu. After frantic phone calls they were kind enough to turn around and come back to the college and get her stuff - but given that she had her first flight home early the next morning and missed dinner waiting it was pretty stressful. My daughter gave them credit card info each year to pay for the service. I didn't notice that they never charged and only learned about the billing error when I got the bill for all four years combined during her senior year. I guess that's partly on me for not noticing we hadn't paid (I assume we didn't pay, but haven't gone back through statements. I suppose the error could have been the other way as well, but I took Donna's word for it and paid 4 years combined all at once which stung quite a bit.) Senior year started with a warm call with Donna. I explained that my daughter would be moving into a house and arriving at the airport. I saw on the map that it looked like Zippy Shell was close to the airport and offered to pay if Donna could pick up my daughter. I was so happy that she not only offered but said she would be happy to do it because she loved when other parents helped out by picking up her kids in college at the airport. My takeaway from the conversation was that she was offering to do the pickup as a favor - a really nice touch after 4 years of business. She picked up my daughter and helped move her stuff into the house. (There was a mix up with the directions so the drive was longer than expected) and all was great. Then I received an invoice for 65. We were already billed on the big invoice $50 for the delivery of the stuff so $65 extra for the airport pickup was a lot. We had never agreed to a price and an Uber would have been about 25. As we already paid the $50 I was a little irritated and just didn't pay. Months later I received another invoice and then a text requesting payment. I explained my reasoning in a text but was still asked for remittance so I have paid the full bill and decided to offer this full and balanced review as well. Short recap: Amazing service to pick up, store, and drop off stuff. Kind and helpful employees. But unfortunately challenges with scheduling, billing and communication led to some stress and disappointment that prevent me from offering 5 stars. With all of that, I still recommend Donna and Zippy Shell - just with the heads up that there might be a few hiccups along the way.

If there was a choice to give No stars, I would do that because that’s what they deserve.I had an appointment on a Saturday afternoon with Dona to come over to my house to give me a quote based on how much stuff I was moving. Saturday came and went, no call no email.. fast forward to Monday when their office is open. I had to be the one to call them to see what was going on.Very unprofessional, and I’m glad I didn’t trust them with my personal belongings, if thats how they uphold their business’s reputation.So Disgusting.

Called Friday - reserved moving date - Donna was supposed to call us back Friday night or Saturday - she never called - we called her Saturday she never called back - called Sunday, no answer n mailbox was full - called again Sunday night and finally got a hold of her, we asked for a quote again, she said she'd call back shortly, never did - called and spoke to her several times Monday asking her to please give us a quote, she never did - Tuesday moving day still no quote, they were supposed to be there at 9am - she kept calling and pushing up time, still no quote, finally at 2pm still not there and still no quote - they never came - lost a day of work - settlement is Friday - WE ARE SCREWED - SOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL

Do not do buisness with them. Per our contract , we were told it would be 9 working days to ten days .to recieve our belongings and possibly 14.. We were told they would take the second payment we owe the day before they deliver. Well, they have taken our money and telling us it will be another 13 days now. Donna won't answer my phone now, so Ive used other numbers . When she answers she says they are very busy and will call me later that day. 3 times , she doesn't and just tells me what I want to hear before I wait for her to call. Filing a report to the Better Buisness Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission for breach of contract. I didn't pay to have my office supplies and files on clients along with my computer to start loosing mone alongwith everything I own which I need to survive. Beware doing buisness. You can't even get anyone to call you back from their headquarters. Total upsetting experience.

We moved our office in October, and I can't say enough about how great Zippy Shell was. We had a lot of odd sized items we didn't know how to pack, and the guys did an amazing job getting everything moved. They also were extremely helpful with our requests throughout the day, and did everything we asked with a smile (including positioning a large desk 3 times). We had also used them in the past to store furniture while our office was being repaired after a flood from our water heater. I would highly recommend them. I only wish I had known about them (and their storage) when my kids were in college and all their stuff came home and landed in my living room for the summer. I would have definitely used them for that as well.
