Dr. Schengrund and his team took care of our boxer Allie for years. The doctor got her thru some terrible tough episodes of being very ill. He was kind and caring and gave us all the time we needed. At Allie’s last visit he said that her time was limited and to enjoy her. We did just that. His expertise and his team’s compassion are perfect. Words cannot express our gratitude. Thank you Bob, Ginny and Lucas.

Hershey Veterinarian Hospital is by far the best facility to care for your pets, the staff is so caring and helpful, Dr. Kevin and his associates are exceptional in hos they treat your loving ❤️ pets. Snuggles ? loves Dr. Kevin

I do not recommend for hamsters (and maybe other small animals). I paid $75 each for both of my hamsters to do a checkup. During the checkup the vet 1. never mentioned that my dwarf hamster was overweight (this is dangerous as they are prone to diabetes) 2. Did not check his nails 3. Recommended I change my hamster's diet (which I've researched a lot) to a subpar food brand. I don't expect them to know everything about every animal, but I would at least expect a thorough checkup and not pushing possibly negative information. He barely touched my dwarf hamster at all. I do not think they have separate staff specializing in small animals so I definitely absolutely would not go here if you have any rodents/smaller animals.
I had to go back because they missed my hamster's very long nails. If I wasn't checking my hamster myself, he could've been living very painfully and getting more overweight (because he cannot run well with his nails). They NEVER mentioned a charge on the phone and I assumed it was free because they made a mistake on their end. It was $22. They said if his nails were clipped during the checkup, it would be free, but they missed it so I have to pay to return (already a negative experience). I cannot imagine what the checkup was for! $150/15 minutes total of just looking at my hamsters! Why do they offer services for small animals when they're not experts in care? Unsure! Never coming back ❤️

We love Dr. Kevin! He’s funny, but honest and very intelligent. The clinic in general gets you in and out quickly - especially in comparison to some other hospitals where I’ve waited longer than an hour at times. Their office is clean and everyone is friendly. I have nothing but positive things to say!

Called for an appt for my baby who had a bad tooth. Got an appointment the next morning. She went in at 7 am and was back home safely by 1:30. My baby was very well cared for. The staff were kind and gentle. They genuinely care about pets. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I have complete confidence that my furr-babies will get the best care possible from Dr. Kevin and his staff. They have helped our cats through so many critical times and we can’t thank Dr. Kevin enough for his dedication and knowledge to be there so often and provide the best recovery options when they’re not well and the continued well-being checks to keep them at their healthiest!

Thank you for taking such great care for him. As soon as he got home from thee appointment I gave him some of his food so I could give him his medicine and he took them and he slept for the most part. I guess from being out with the heat. Last night he had some Mango and I gave him his midnight meds. This morning he woke up at 6 am regular potty time, he came inside and took another nap. Woke up I gave him his 8 am meds, he ate, he played, and has been doing better. I noticed no licking at all on his paws, he only tried scratching on the back of the head but I cleaned it some baby soap and water and he was fine. Thank you guys so much for everything.

I want to start out by saying that I live almost two hours away, yet all the local veterinarian offices were recommending Hershey Veterinary Hospital when they didn't have availability for an emergency visit. Since moving from California several years ago, I have struggled to find a veterinarian that I truly liked. I didn't expect much when I arrived. But the staff was amazing and so welcoming. Then we met Dr. Kevin. He was so awesome. I think it says a lot when someone treats my dog the way I'd treat my dog. He worked with me to make sure finances weren't an issue and made sure my Snowball received treatment. I will gladly make the two hour trip should any of my animals need treatment in the future. Thank you, Dr. Kevin for treating Snowball like the little princess she is.

Like other reviewers here, I found this “Dr” to be unprofessional and expensive. He up-charged us for our visit for our dog and then ordered a bunch of unnecessary tests. After paying for testing, he said he couldn’t do anything more for us and that our dog “just needed walks.” The entire visit he was dismissive and rude and even swore at us. We received a second opinion from the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County and they did an examination, diagnosed, and treated our dog for half the cost. We switched vets and never looked back. I highly recommend Animal Hospital of Dauphin County if you’re looking for a thorough and caring vet!

Dr Kevin is great and has been courteous with both of our cats including one who has passed. He's kind, friendly, and doesn't conduct unnecessary tests/procedures. We appreciate the attentiveness of the staff and flexibility of scheduling. Overall recommend highly.

Dr. Kevin and staff are amazing!
I switched to HVH to find a place that pays attention to their patients history. I have had nothing other than great experiences so far and found out about a thyroid issue with one of my girls the last veterinarian missed or just didn't look for. Test results are always timely and it doesn't take months to be seen.
