The staff were friendly and efficient. They were patient with my stubborn dog.

We took our dog for a grooming appointment in October. When we picked him up, the first thing the groomer said was that everything had gone fine and that there were no problems. We brought him home and he was acting strange. He was extremely withdrawn and when we tried to pet him and our hands got near the back of his neck, he would yelp. We parted his fur trying to see if we could find anything. At that time there was nothing visible, or maybe we were not looking in quite the right spot. I called the grooming department and asked for the young man who had groomed him. I wanted to let him know how our dog was behaving and ask him again if he was sure that nothing had gone wrong. I was told that he was gone for the day. About a week or so later, we were petting him and felt a rough area around the back of his neck. We parted his fur and found black scabbing and as we parted his fur more to get a better look, his fur started falling out in that area. The area also appeared to have some yellow coloring. We took him to our vet who shaved the area. I told her about his behavior immediately following his last grooming visit and asked what could have caused it. She couldn't say for certain but thought that it could have been caused by either a burn or cut. She also said that the wound would result in that area of skin coming off. I now went back to the store with pictures of the injury and asked to speak with the manager. I explained that I wasn't seeking any kind of compensation, but wanted to explain the circumstances and make him aware that there was a strong possibility that our dog had been injured during a grooming session there. He was polite and asked me for information such as who the groomer was and what date was my dog's appointment and if I had asked for any special products to be used on my dog that had never been used before. I gave him the information and also stated that to my knowledge, no new products were used. I also let him know that my dog had been to the vet and what they had said. He said he would follow up with the groomer. There was no follow up call made to me to let me know if he was able to figure out what had happened. It has now been six weeks since my dog's appointment and the scabbed skin finally came off revealing another scab underneath, so he is still recovering. I rarely leave reviews and debated about leaving this one. I cannot irrefutably prove that our dog was injured during his grooming session. I only know that his behavior was completely normal when we dropped him off and was extremely abnormal after we picked him up. Then, shortly thereafter, an injury became visible. He was not left anywhere else without us present during that entire timeframe. He is an older dog so he is not super active and wouldn't have hurt himself playing. Again, I cannot prove he was injured during grooming but at the very least, the circumstances are, in my opinion, suspect which is why I finally decided to write this review and share my experience.

This store should be closed. They have shortened business hours because they say they are short staffed. This past week I went to pick up supplies for my bird and the animals were absolutely neglected. Bird cages were filthy with waste everywhere and fish tanks were covered in algae so much so that you could not see in them. I am assuming this is from the short staff but , animals are being neglected there. The three employees in the store were all unprofessionally talking about other staff. Someone needs to step in and help the animals who can't help themselves.

i've taken my dog here several times and every time my dog looks awful. it's the groomers that don't know what they're doing. i've seen some ugly hair cuts come out of that building and also dogs have literally died there. they're also expensive as heck. take your dog to a reputable groomer and get your moneys worth.

Terrible. I drove over an hour to get there and my dog was just a few weeks over on a vaccination. In 2020, there should be more understanding that it's hard to make appointments. Also, it did not say all shots had to be current, I was only passed due on one by a few weeks. Completely annoying. I drove a long way, and their website was not clear. Never shop there again.

Went on Sunday to purchase fish. We waited about 20 minutes while two staff worked around us. Neither asked if we needed assistance. I waited my turn as one of them was watering some of the other critters in there. Once she was done, she looked right at me and walked away. Disappearing somewhere. I had to walk up to the cashier to ask for assistance getting fish. Waited some more. Finally was able to buy two Albino Catfish. But I should’ve just walked out when I was ignored. One died Monday, the other this morning. I don’t recommend buying anything here. I never will again.

I went to the store to return 3 items I ordered online. The items were too small, and I just wanted the same items in a larger size. The woman at the register was very rude and said, "Oh is this an online order? I hate these." I apologized and provided her with my shipping slips and the unopened items. She refused to do the return because she said the slips did not have my form of payment on them. I told her they were the slips I received with the items from Petco, and she still refused. I asked if I could get the same items in a different size, and she said no. I had to drive 30 mins from my house to the nearest store for no reason. I wanted to shop at the store because there was a lot of nice merchandise, but I was frustrated.

This review solely pertains to their dog training. We were extremely disappointed with how classes or lack thereof are handled. We signed up for a class. A few days before we received a call advising that the trainer had a sick relative. Ok, we're not jerks, no worries, we'll start next week. We were advised the store manager would be calling us during the week once they figure out it they will be adding another class at the end of the session or crediting us. We did not revive a call during the week but figured we would find out when we got there. The following week we arrived only to find out there was no class again, that the relative had passed away and someone should have contacted me. Ok again, we're not jerks but we live at least 30 minutes for this location, have two young children that I have to make sure my husband is home for - this isn't always an easy feat. Why did they not have the other trainer cover this? Why are they so unapologetic that we weren't contacted? I don't know but if it's not important to them as a customer, I'm out. We had them refund the class fee and did not return.

I wish I could put no stars. I brought my lab chow here who had a beautiful and thick black coat. After a grooming appointment, she came home with nasty scabs on her skin. The vet at a different practice confirmed that she was given a fungal infection from this place. They groomed an animal with ringworm and DID NOT CLEAN THEIR TOOLS! When confronted at the store, they came up with every excuse as to what else it was when I was already told what it was by an actual professional. Do not bring your pet here unless you want them to have infections.

Very clean and welcoming. As soon as we walked in someone said hello. Our dog got groomed by Melissa. She was wonderful. Listened to what I had to say about dog. She gave us an estimated time to pickup. We came back at that time and the dog was ready. Our dog Chevy looked like Prince Charming all shiny and proud. Thanks Melissa nice work.

We've taken our dogs here a few times and everything was fine..they must've gotten a rookie in there this past Saturday because we took our golden in, we picked her up and they said everything went well and she was good. THEN TELL ME WHY WE FOUND HUGE CUTS/SCABS BEHIND HER EARS?! They cut her and she clearly bled while there because she has nasty scabs. Why were we not told this happened?! I'm sure things happen once in awhile but I'm fuming that we weren't told about it, "everything went well", and it wasn't in the paperwork. We won't be back.

Nice store! I buy all of my fish supplies here. Their fish selection is wide and diverse. The tanks are kept very clean, and some even have well maintained live plants in them. It's nice to see the finned pals interacting with the plants before buying them. I also love looking at the chameleons. They look like little aliens not if this worlds This store also has clean well lit bathrooms. Update 5/19/18 I visit this store weekly, and I enjoy bringing my cat with me, however the music is so loud she's always terrified to be there. On top of this the condition of the bathrooms has dropped. The men's urinal looks like it hasn't been properly scrubbed since I originally posted this review.
