They are overpriced and think that they are an upscale fashion boutique as others have mentioned. I liked their cause and used to visit with my mom, so I called them to offer large bags of clothing after my parents passed away. The lady I spoke to was very condescending and said they are only looking for clothing that is "in style" and their clientele knows the type of clothing to bring them because they know what sells. They had no idea what I was bringing them but assumed that because my parents were older that it wouldn't be up to their standards. I will no longer shop or donate there.

Small but pleasant. Spend an hour and get a random goody or two.

I have been shopping here for years as of late they are ridiculous in their pricing. I know they are volunteers but they make up prices in their head. This is not Saks Fifth Avenue it’s a thrift store. I don’t know who is doing the prices but everything is double of the other shop in Honesdale which is very fair and knows that it’s a thrift store. Unless they change and change quick they will definitely be in the red. I offered to buy some thing and I asked the cost , it was ridiculous I said but this is used and it cost less in Walmart and the lady just shrugged and walked back to her place in the back of the store was she was chatting away with another volunteer hopefully who is in charge of the store will wake up because they are losing money that is supposedly going to help the sick children at Wayne Memorial hospital. I know that I won’t be going there anymore and I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars they’re not anymore. Since writing this I see that management understands the situation and they have a woman running the place now who is amazing and knowledgeable her name is Mary and she will turn everything around. Also the manager of both stores whose name is Tammy is an absolutely amazing woman and will fix the situation and bring it back to its The fabulousness of what it used to be.

Walked up to the case to ask a question and the volunteer walked away, had to ask them to come back and ask them the price which was twice the price of the other shop in honesdale, they became defensive claiming there is a different clientele, hmmm we were at both shops so not as different as they might think, lady claimed she was only being defensive about pricing but was very condescending :( also triggering very offensive music was playing in the store. Really wanted to help support the hospital, and will, at the Other Shop in Honesdale!!

Very rude about pricing, everything in the honesdale location is exactly half the price of here, also found music offensive.

Out of state. Stopped in to shop but needed$$$ for the parking. Lady at the counter rudely told me to go to the bank when I asked for change. Walked out. Lost my business.

What a great place to donate clothing, books, small household items because the proceeds benefit our local hospital. Charitable donations at very reasonable prices are a win/win.The volunteers are courteous and grateful to have items of good quality donated.

This is a fantastic place to find treasures. From children's toys to kitchenware, china, and clothing there is something for everyone at this cute, Hawley store. And like the "Other Shop" in Honesdale (the sister store in Honesdale) all the proceeds benefit the Women's Auxiliary of the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. So don't throw out usable items, donate them so others can buy them!
