This bank is awful. Zero help with fraud use on cards. I'm still out around 100, and am trying resolve on my own. The bank manager is useless. I have around 5-600 in fraud charges. Anything reversed and credited, is due to my calling and the help of the merchants. All they do is send electronic letter. 2 charges they denied were from purchases in California, in person. I was not there ! If you are thinking about opening an account with them, RUN the other way. Run fast!

This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.

I was 90% of the way to closing my account based on the ridiculous extra fees, archaic mobile app, grimy ATM I have to put my card in twice to use after I’ve waited 5 minutes, the delayed Drive-thru—it goes on and on but TODAY when I spoke with Debbie—I’m DONE! I would think NBT would be catering to the small customer base they are fortunate to have—not the case at all! When I expressed my concern about her not resolving my simple issue and told her I’m ready to close my account if she can’t help me—she rudely told me to have a nice night and hung up on me. Not the first time I’ve witnessed her less than sub-par interaction with customers but will absolutely be the last!!!!Do not bank here-go to a credit union or back over to Wells Fargo where you aren’t nickel and dimed to do your banking.Dominique Wick

Be careful of the fine print with mobile deposit they will put a hold of your account for 7 business days and not notify you until a day after the deposit and then customer service will say talk to the bank and the bank will do nothing but charge you fees and give you a poor attitude be careful of this bank!!!!!!
