“I walked into what I will call AFROCENTRIC HEAVEN! I walked out looking like an African Queen! This Boutique has custom made dresses pants, tops, and the best accessories. The owner is a master seamstress and will custom make whatever you desire. I would give her 10 stars if I could ! Stay tuned because I will be adding photos after my event!!”
“I love this boutique! If you need a cute dress for a wedding, or any type of fun outfit, this is your place. I discovered when I moved here a few years ago that I couldn’t find unique and flattering dresses in Center City (they were either sky high prices or low-quality clothes) but this store hits the sweet spot of great quality but not overpriced. And the owner and staff go above and beyond. I highly recommend!!”

Here you will find great people and a fun store with reasonable prices for fashionable clothing, hip accessories and must-have candles, chocolates, and unique housewares. Not only are they a local business worth supporting, but they themselves go out of their way to source cool items from other local providers. Oh, and did I mention the sewing?! They have super popular sewing classes and camps. If I could give them ten stars, I would!!”
“I've been a member at the Pure Barre Chestnut Hill studio since May 2021. It was recommended to me by a friend as a great way to tone and burn before my wedding. It definitely has been! I've noticed a significant improvement in my strength and endurance. I see a noticeable difference in my arms, quads, and hamstrings. But even after these many months of taking class, it is still challenging. I appreciate that the classes are never the same (aside from the general format) and therefore never boring. My favorite classes are Empower and Reform. Liz was so welcoming from day #1 when I talked to her on the phone to learn more about Pure Barre and the Chestnut Hill studio. The instructors are all so genuinely kind and helpful, and their energy is contagious. I love that feedback and corrections are provided during class. It's always clean, busy, and joyful at the studio. Thank you PBCH!”

I must look my very best. I've gotten all of my scrubs from E-Z Wear Uniforms. They have me looking impeccable at work. “This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”

Most of all I love her lives because I get a chance to see her modeling things and then I instantly buy it. Keai and her staff are always pleasant and willing to help. If keai isn’t there her staff is just as good as her. They really take care of me when I come on Sundays to pickup.”

The opposite of fast fashion, these clothes last forever and are truly beautiful. They look great on young people but also it’s a wonderful place to change your look when past 45.The sales people are never pushy and they will tell you what looks good and what doesn’t. Charlie was so incredibly helpful, I wish I got the name of the other associate who helped my husband look at different suits. Charlie was insightful and helped me find over $100 in rewards (in my account) to help bring down the cost of my total purchase. They gave us refreshments as we shopped. I have shopped at Banana Republic for over 10 years and it was the best shopping experience I’ve had at a Banana Republic.”

“I highly recommend Stupp Furs in Haverford. Hal, his staff and family members that work there are all highly professional, friendly and their knowledge of furs and the fur industry is unsurpassed. I took my beautiful fur lined silk coat that was given to me by my mother to Stupp Furs, after being told by several other fur repair shops that the coat was ruined and nothing could be done. Actually the value and condition of the coat wasn’t the greatest and was worsened by sitting at a theater on a seat the had lots of popcorn butter on it, leaving a big stain in the back. Hal was very honest with me regarding being able to make the coat look wearable again. I told him of the sentimental value that it had to me because I remembered my mother wearing the coat. He said he would do everything that he could to see if it could be cleaned and repaired. He also agreed it was a beautiful vintage classic coat. He told me he was going to send it out to their repair shop. Two weeks later he called and said my coat was back and to stop by. When I got there he said they said getting the butter out of the silk was made worst when I tried to clean it off with water before I first took it in. So he said let me think about this. I have so ideas that just might work. So I said try anything, I love my coat. Three months later I received I call to come pick up my beautiful coat! I was so happy. Hal said that’s what we like, to make our clients happy! So I decided to put my coat in storage with them. AND I ALSO FOUND ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CASHMERE COAT WITH FUR ON THE INSIDE TO WHERE THIS COMING WINTER SEASON! What a GREAT PLACE WITH Impeccable, customer service, and more!A.G. Fletcher”
