Very racist energy, I am a young black female who comes to this gym because I like the great amount of equipment. I have felt very uncomfortable from the employees, Ive had white male workers stand behind me as I bend over to do my gorilla rows, there is this one lady worker that consistently harasses me about my attire (crocs and lack of shoes while stretching) but never says anything to the young white boys who wear their crocs every session or even the adults that work out in jeans, or the white moms tho do their stretches in their socks and put their shoes on after their stretch. Fair is fair and right is right so if we are going to enforce any rules let’s enforce them to every single person.

Horrible experience with billing:I had to put my membership on hold since I was unable to go to the gym for some time. I got confirmation from customer service that my membership was put on hold but was still falsely charged for the next month.I tried to get the issue resolved with the YMCA Haverford multiple times with in person and email communication. I was promised a refund every time but never received it (including from the facilities manager). After almost a month of waiting I finally gave up and decided to fully cancel my membership. After successfully cancelling, I spotted a new charge on my account the next business day.In total I have wasted multiple hours on getting this simple issue resolved. I cannot recommend this gym.

Completly destroyed the freeweight dumbell area with the new machine placement. Absolutly no space and not a good experience in that area... hope it gets fixed soon...

Great customer service--I've never had to go far to ask someone a question. Plus, everyone has been so nice. The equipment is kept pretty clean (if you're not wiping your equipment down after you use it, you're the worst). Locker rooms are decent. There aren't paper towels and rags strewn everywhere like some other gyms I've been to. The lockers themselves, though, are quite skinny. I have a fairly large gym bag and I have to squish it to get it to fit. I don't use any of the classes or other amenities, but I have noticed the whirlpool essentially never works lol. I will say, though, the addition of the power racks (which I appreciate having) has caused the dumbbell lifting area to be extremely difficult to work out in. It's so tight that I feel like I'm going to hit the person next to me when doing chest or shoulder presses. I tried doing chest flies and got bumped 2 times, stepped on once, and farted on. This means people are taking dumbbells to other areas of the gym to workout (which I understand), but that means the 15s will be gone for 20 minutes and I need that weight for my last set. Or, you have the people who don't walk their weights back and then it takes a while for the staff to bring them back. Also, this gym gets extremely busy from 3PM-7PM--HOLY SHIT does it get busy. I've started going later in the day instead of right after work now because it was taking me almost two hours to workout. I've had to wait 10-15 minutes for a squat rack or free bench in the dumbbells area. Same thing with treadmills too. Oh, also, no Stairmasters which I think is weird since even Planet Fitness and other gyms have those.

Paid large registration fee for gooble woobel 2023, wore race bib. We weren’t listed in results. One of us was the only female over 70 to run.We should not have provided donation for no result.

Awesome place to take your kids to swim or for swim lessons. Dylan Russo is an excellent young instructor. Keep up the great work.

Very disappointed to learn that to join the Haverford YMCA you need to have a smartphone. You can only use their app now to check in as they are doing away with the cards even for children. I was told everything is digital now and they weren't making any exceptions even for children or the elderly. I think this is really unacceptable. I'm not sure if this is every YMCA location or just Haverford location but don't bother trying to join if you don't use apps. I understand this is how most people operate but many elderly and children don't have smartphones, why can't they still use a card??

Large facilities with basketball court, pools and exercise equipment. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Many classes are offered at extra charge. Membership is covered by most insurance.

Great YMCA. Went here with my friend and we worked out for about 2 hours. It was very crowded on a Saturday morning, but that is usual. I took off one star because many machines were not cleaned after people used them, and because of all the people the equipment options were slim.

So much to write. Let’s start with the condescending rude staff like arianna. The females filming and taking pics in the women’s bathroom and locker room. The dirty showers. The children unmonitored running all over. People in the swimming pool area not swimming. Also I signed up for an adults swimming class the person I spoke to did not tell me it was going to have children in the class. Made me uncomfortable. When I spoke to Arianna she was rude and spoke to me like I didn’t matter. I was actually going to join but I will finish up my lessons and take my business elsewhere.

Excellent place, very impressive, I once worked for YMCA in Ardmore and when it closed I was sad but the Havertown YMCA is great.

This is definitely my favorite local YMCA. We have the family member ship and it is beneficial for al of us. The schedules sometimes changes for the classes but they definitely notify it's patrons as early as possible. We have done summer camp here and the children liked it.

The sauna room is dirty and small. Always have to wait. There is not enough parking. When discontinue membership, it’s required 30 day notice which was not told when joining the membership.

Every time I had been there, parking is a problem.I was charged for 2 adult memberships for about 3 months. The admin refused to come to the phone to get this resolvedI was put on hold forever at the admin line in Conshohocken and although that nice lady did try and help, she did not know who to send me to.This should have never happened and should have not been so difficult.
