We worked with Kathie Fox from this office--she was a joy to work with. I have already recommended her to 2 friends! A lifelong Philadelphian, Kathie knows every neighborhood and brings the thorough knowledge of lifelong resident to help her buyers. She is incredibly friendly, warm and best of all--knowledgeable! She has a good eye for quality construction, building quality, and a thorough insight into local builders. She bought a critical eye to reviewing each property with us; pointing out both flaws and room for improvement and/or possibilities to expand on an area of a house. Kathie is firm in stating that she would never want to sell a house that she herself would not want to live in. She stands by that statement, and never once led us astray! Thanks to her unflagging devotion and patience, Kathie helped us find our dream home in Manayunk. Shortly thereafter, she helped us prepare and sell our Havertown house at the height of the market. I would recommend Kathie without any hesitation to someone looking for a realtor!

I just want to say that I've dealt with many realtors before and so far my experience with Jacquie Testa has been the worst. She was unprofessional, difficult, and not to be trusted to keep her word. She took something as easy as returning my $5,000 deposit into an unnecessary ordeal. At first, Jacquie told my realtor that it was going to be wired within a couple days after signing the termination agreement. However, that turned out to be not true and she instead told us to pick up the check at their Haverford office after a week has passed. However, I live in Delaware two hours away and my daughter lives in Philadelphia so we asked Jacquie if she could send the check instead via certified and we'll pay for the fee or simply wire it back. But, for some reason, Jacquie said no, and told my realtor either we pick it up or she'll send my check via regular mail. Obviously, we were not comfortable with sending our check via regular mail but Jacquie didn't budge. Her final words were either pick up the check or regular mail. So my daughter scheduled with Jacquie to pick up the check at their Haverford office on Saturday. She said it would be at the front desk and she will let the front desk person know. She also said to call the office at 9AM to make sure someone was there. On Saturday morning, per Jacquie's instructions, my daughter called the office but it took three times until someone picked up at 10:15AM. Another realtor who happened to be at the office fortunately picked up and that she did not see a check at the front desk. That realtor was able to find the check in Jacquie's mailbox but there was also no note that Jacquie left for any instructions. My daughter out of curiosity asked that realtor what is the common practice for sending back a deposit. That realtor said her options included sending the check via certified mail, and so we were trying to figure out why Jacquie refused that for us. Unfortunately, that realtor only came in to pick something up and was leaving in 5 minutes. No one else was in the office, so even if my daughter drove 40 minutes to pick up the check, she would not have been able to. After many back and forth between my realtor and Jacquie, my daughter was finally able to get in touch with someone else at the office around 2pm. That person said she would be at the office until 3pm so she should come now. My daughter got to the Haverford office and it turns out, I was needed to pick up the check and not my daughter. And surprise, Jacquie again did not leave any instructions for the front desk. She also couldn't be reached when the front desk tried to call her several times to confirm. Eventually my realtor was able to confirm my daughter's identity with the front desk and she was able to pick up the check. Throughout this whole thing, it seems that Jacquie was purposefully making things difficult for us and being completely unprofessional because our sale with her fell through. All this could have been prevented if she had either wired the money or just took our offer to send the check via certified mail. My realtor and I both felt she was being petty and bitter by how she treated us. We both felt the same thing when dealing with her during the beginning stages of this now terminated sale. Her not being present at the showing and being annoyed when we couldn't find the keys to one of the properties she listed, showed that she just does not care. I feel bad for the seller who listed with her because they have 4 condo properties listed under her. Two of which I was interested in and for one of them I couldn't even see because of the key problem. I am now under contract for another condo that's in the same building but thankfully the seller's realtor we are working with is a lot more professional and understanding. I just want Jacquie to know that no matter how big or small the sale is, selling a property is a group project and that she should treat every sale with the same amount of respect and professionalism. I have plans on purchasing m

Do not hire this office and agents. Unethical and not able to perform their fiduciary. My employer contracted this office for house search. We finally moved in our home but after the closing we were informed by the lawyers that the house had a 25’ easement on the lot. I had an idea about it (since the lot fence was recessed) and had asked the agent (Lisa Getson) who should have been able to find that information before closing. But she did not. In a hind sight, the questions were dodged and never answered because she knew we liked the home and this could deter the closing and her payout. Apparently the seller did not disclose the easement either, so we are into a legal issue with the seller. Also, we never evaluated the affect of easement on the price so effectually we overpaid on this house. This could have been easily avoided if the agent followed up on our questions and directed us to where to find the information about easement. But she did not even order the house survey or even give us an option to do so. We complained the office and were at one point directed send our complaint to her co-manager (agent’s mom). No accountability from any manager eventually. This has been escalated with my employer.Berkshire might be a good company but we didn’t have a good experience with the agent from this office.I will be filing a complaint with Real Estate Commission.

I recently worked with Kathie Ramer of Berkshire Hathaway in Haverford, PA since a Berkshire Hathaway office represented the Buyer on a costly home. As settlement approached and the settlement sheet was sent out, I was surprised to learn that Buyers’ realtor was charging Buyer a fee in addition to sharing the $47,000 commission on the sale. When I asked Ms. Ramer to waive the fee, she chose not to do so without explanation. If you are a buyer, be careful if you engage Berkshire Hathaway to represent you on a transaction. I will go to Long & Foster, Re/Max Action, Coldwell Banker or Weichert in the future. Berkshire’s “gotcha” approach is greedy and distasteful and they will not benefit from my business.

Deb Dorsey in this office is phenomenal.
She creatively arranged a lease with an option to buy on my daughter’s move up Radnor home, then quickly sold my daughters existing Bryn Mawr home at full market value in about ten days. Deb Dorsey facilitated no BS low fixed rate financing for all the parties and settlement on my existing daughter’s home went smooth as silk, so then right after in the same morning she settled on the new home!
Deb Dorsey answered my daughter’s questions and concerns very promptly and helped her through the current maze of the 2016 real estate universe. She was very accessible on nights and weekends.
My daughter and her hubby have a 3 and 6 year old, and Deb was great in showing patience in the special needs a young family has.
Of particular value was Deb’s team’s counsel on how to ready her current home for sale. They provided amazing staging as well as beautiful professional photos. These services no doubt created the multiple offers and bidding war.
I have been a licensed real estate broker since 1978 and can honestly say these Deb Dorsey and her team are 5 star performers. I am so glad I referred my daughter to them!
