We had a new fireplace installed about 10 days ago. First, Jim at Salters was the best to work with. We chose our design and material and that was smooth. The framing for the new fireplace was 2 days - just what we were told. The next 2 days, the masonry teamArrived. Greg and Andrew did a great job. We may a little adjustment to the plan and it was no problem. The end result is a beautiful new fireplace which is the focal point of our living room/dining room area. From the first visit to Salters to the last day the workers completed the project was just as we were told upfront. Highly Recommend Salters.

We bought a home with a gas fireplace, something new to us. Called Selter's on recommendation of a neighbor. We were able to get an appt for cleaning and servicing within a week. Mark came on time and did a great job getting us set up. Fair price, pleasant worker, and now we know how to use our beautiful fireplace!

I have a dual-sided fireplace that wasn't working and hadn't been serviced in a while. Mark performed a thorough cleaning and replaced essential parts, getting it back to like-new condition and operation. He took the time to explain a variety of concepts to me, including what to do for cleaning/maintenance and what not to do for safety reasons. I'm extremely happy with the end-result and the process — would certainly recommend Salter's and Mark to anyone who is considering them.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We’ve been renovating our house for the past year and have worked with multiple contractors and businesses. This has been by far the worst company I had to deal with. Terrible communication, extremely reactive and lack of transparency. We purchased basic fireplace doors and this took 4 months!! Every step in the process this company delayed and took longer than what they said they would. If there was a delay, they wouldn’t tell me. I constantly had to follow up to find out things were yet again delayed. They took the wrong measurements and tried to make me confirm on what it should be (almost to make me at fault when they would arrive wrong). At the end of the day the product they sell is not unique to this company, so their customer service would be their only differentiator. Just go elsewhere.

My experience at Salter's to get a new direct vent fireplace was great. The entire team from sales to installation exceeded my expectations. The team was friendly, honest and professional. The quality of work performed by the installation team and stone mason was excellent. A picture is attached. The project price was in line with cost estimates from other companies. Again, I will highlight the quality of the installation work performed. The reason for only 4 Stars is that during installation, an unknown pre-existing chimney issue (extensive damaged chimney chase) was detected and Salter's did not have the in-house team or a reference contractor to fix this problem. I found this odd that a fireplace company did not have such a team or reference to repair chimneys. I had to get another company myself to fix the chimney before Salter's could complete the installation. However, overall, I highly recommend Salter's for your direct vent fireplace purchase.

After 40 years of burning wood or pellets we decided to go to propane. After consulting with 5 area gas stove dealers, we chose Salter’s. They installed a gas stove in the basement and gas log set in the fireplace. The crew was on time, knowledgeable, courteous, and very professional. We can recommend them for any of the services they offer
