I was at the Whitaker Center to see my great niece perform in Bring It On the musical by students of CASA. They did a terrific job! The theater was clean, the seats are comfortable. The lighting and sound was good. The only complaint I have about the theater is they need hand railings going down the steps to get to the seats for the elderly and those with walking challenges!

There is something for kids of all ages. It has definitely inspired our 4 and 6 year old to learn more about science! Definitely worth the membership, wish I realized that before buying 2 sets of tickets!

I had my daughter’s 5th birthday party here and it was a great time for both the kids and adults. Every employee we met was so kind and helpful!

At first I was doubtful that there was enough here to keep my 5 year old engaged for 4-5 hours. I was wrong--she was busy until the end.
There are lots of cool activities that have been developed here, unfortunately there is a general lack of maintenance and many things don't work. Not exactly what you expect after $28 admission for 1 child and 1 adult. Don't misunderstand me, the place was clean, but the day to day staff isn't fixing things that should be taken out or fixed.
For parking, the street seemed to be best at $4 per hour plus a $0.35 transaction fee. Ended up spending about $21 to park...the Walnut Street garage would have been $30 once I crossed the 4 hour line. It's salty, but it's downtown Harrisburg, so the options are what they are.
The coolest thing in here right now by far is the robot arm in the basement. I enjoyed it, and I got my 5 year old to do it successfully with some instructions.

Just went today and was amazed. Great activities for kids all about science. A station with computer games. Also lots of 3d movies. I was so impressed with the fun activities and kind employees.

Let's bring this one up to the current. Over the years I've been to the Whitaker Center many, many times for all three of its components. Years ago, when the children were younger the science center was fairly interesting, and they appreciated it. We've seen tons of IMAX shows here and have plans in the not too distant future to come back for the one about Ireland, since that probably about as close to going as we'll ever get.But this time it was for some theatre, specifically Fiddler on the Roof. I've been to the Sunoco Theatre for concerts - specifically Tower of Power probably six or seven times. The theatre is an excellent small space with great acoustics and truly no seat is a bad seat.Really the only turkey of the whole evening was that the show itself was less than half full. Picked up seats on the website in the front row the day before the show for a Saturday night.I mean I know that Harrisburg at night in general isn't exactly the greatest place or idea but it's not THAT bad. Hell, the meters are off after 5pm and we were able to park on 3rd Street super close no problem. They don't offer as many shows as they did maybe 10-15 years ago but any chance I get to come see something here at a non-Live Nation/Ticketmaster venue is always a-ok with me.

I was here eons ago for a movie at the IMAX theatre, and had no idea there was a concert venue on site as well. But there is, and both the sightlines and sound are great. What a pleasant surprise!

Wonderful venue for music. I don't mind driving over an hour for an artist I want to see.

Very fun for all ages!! It's a place to let your inner child out and watch the kids glow with curiosity and try new things! The space exhibit is a wonderful experience and has so many things to learn.

Man, how the mighty have fallen. Covid lockdowns ruined this place. It's empty, everything is old, gift shop is gone, sad to say I'll probably never go back there. ?

Grandkids enjoyed experience. Unfortunately, exhibits are well worn, some non operable, and functional pieces missing.
