Unprofessional costumer services. Attitudes as soon as you walk in place. Just trying to have our house say not Vacant and sending package back to sender. Talk to carrier..Talk to The1800 customer service..Went into post office and asked for help. You get an inquiry and never fixed smh. Didn't think it was hard to move to Uptown Harrisburg and have problems with address. Package already been sent back twice. Hopefully this gets resolved soon

I know that things happen. I also am grateful to my mail delivery carriers. Most times, late mail is not their fault. I also understand weather events. I'm a pretty understanding person. I will never forget getting a sales flyer for Thanksgiving last year and it was Christmas. I've had multiple packages show up late that were to be given as presents that showed up well after the fact. Now, I see the post office has had my package for 6 days. This time, it is life saving medication for my dog and when he doesn't get his meds, he risks heart issues and is in pain. The vet cannot prescribe them again for another 30 days. Good luck getting anyone on the phone to help. Short of going in there directly, I will get zero answers and I'm pretty convinced already that going in won't do me any good either. I'm so tired of this. Getting mail on time should not be a stressful event in life.

Mail man took all of my mail and left a note saying to pick it up at the post office. I go to this post office and they tell me they sent all of my mail back to sender.

The worst place I ever seen

This place is a total joke. The lazy, obnoxious clerks behind the counter should be fired immediately. None of them seem to even want their job with the way they act. They also never have rolls of stamps. Ever. I’m beginning to think the clerks are stealing them so they can send them to their fam locked up in prison. The one male clerk with the neck tattoos tried getting aggressive with me just because I sighed in frustration over the poor service here. Talking about “you having a bad day big guy?” - like mind your own business boss, you got customers piling up. Do your job and stop worrying about my day.
5/31/24 edit: they still never have rolls of stamps and now they never have money orders. I am definitely sure these scumbag employees are stealing stuff to send to their incarcerated friends and family.

This place never seems to be able to do Carrier Pickup requests on the day it’s scheduled. Usually I have to do it multiple times and pray it’s picked up.
What’s worse is that when I try to call them 99% of the time they never pick up the phone. I call to remind them of a missed Carrier Pickup.

As a business, we rely on the daily mail... both incoming and outgoing. After our completely awesome regular mail carrier (Bob) left, we really suffered. Our mail service became erratic. Sometimes we would only get one or two pieces of mail, or mail after hours, or mail shoved through the mail slot during business hours, or no mail at all for days. We're a business. We need someone to come in and check regularly for larger outgoing packages that will not fit into the outside blue mailbox. This went on for months. Then we got Lindsey! Her very first day she walked in and smiled; she said she'd take care of us and ANYTHING we needed, she would help us with. She also said she would be more than happy to swing back around and pick up any additional packages that we might have that needed to go out. Since she's been on our route, the mail comes regularly, reliably and with a smile - every day! She's everything a good postal carrier should be and more. She goes the extra mile. Thank you Lindsey! (Please stay forever.)

Never have I experienced such terrible treatment from a USPS clerk and yet the most caring customer service from a mail carrier—all from the same post office! Lindsey is the Uptown post office’s single, saving grace. She goes above and beyond to deliver my family’s mail and additionally hides it from inner-city ‘porch pirates.' She even takes time to write notes, hiding it in with our envelopes, explaining where she has hidden our larger 'packaged treasures.’ Who else would do this?
I have known many mail carriers by name; I even have an uncle who was a mailman who delivered my mail at my childhood home. But only have I ever left Lindsey a ‘thank you’ note—and multiple ones over the course of time. For this reason alone have I given this post office 5 stars. Lindsey is an indispensable asset to Harrisburg and the greater US Postal Service.

The only reason this gets 5 stars is because of our mail carrier! Lindsey is the absolute best she is always making sure we get our mail and goes above and beyond! Ask me a few months ago I would have agreed with the 1 star reviews, we never got our mail consistently sometimes not at all. Thank you Lindsey for always being punctual and making sure we get our mail daily!!

If I could, I would give this place two zeros because the customer service here is very bad, they are extremely rude and loud at customers, even if you are an old person or a young customer, they don't care.

I was just here asking about my mail information and changing my address. I haven't received any mails in a month and I met a woman who cursed at me in front of many people. and her attitude towards me as well as me being insulted and scolded by her made me cry And when you think you are a bigger boss than your customers, you have the right to raise your voice and bully others. I feel really angry when I meet such a rude person.

Exactly what I expected. Keep up the great work. Don't go here if you want to see people smile.

Couldn’t deliver to me because they didn’t know how to get into my building, so the carrier gave my packages to a random stranger that was standing there. They don’t even live here! “Delivered to neighbor, as requested.” I never requested any such thing. Filed a claim, haven’t heard back in four days after they said they would check into it. Told me to call back if I had any questions. Been calling upward of ten times a day and no one ever picks up. How are you gonna give my stuff to some rando then tell me that’s not what happened when I watched them do it and then disappear. THEY MARKED IT AS RESOLVED. WHERE IS MY $200+ WORTH OF STUFF.

The staff here is utterly terrible. Late deliveries, missing at times. I hate whenever I have a package come through this location or any location in Harrisburg. The United States Postal Service is disgusting. The service is always Subpar. I hope I never get packages delivered by USPS.
