NSP is an important part of Harrisburg and a special place to me. There's something for everyone. I always leave feeling better than when I went in, and I've made plenty of friends.

I had been a member of the local YMCA for years, going sporadically, trying to self-motivate, working the ellipticals, treadmills, weights, machines... aimlessly. Then Ivan with Next Step Performance (NSP) opened right about the same time of the birth of my first son, and just before my 50th birthday. I wanted to be healthy. I wanted to get healthier to be around when my son was older. So I gave Ivan a try. I lost 15 lbs within the first two months working out with Ivan at NSP. Not since playing football and running track 30 years ago in high school have I felt this in shape. Not only have I lost the weight and kept if off for almost 2 years now, I've also gained strength, balance and flexibility. My clothes fit the way they should (I had to get rid of a lot of old pants that were too big). The biggest gain has been feeling like I have a lot of my physical youth back, so that I will be able to keep up with my son for years. Whether choosing small group training, semi-private, or private workout sessions, Ivan keeps you challenged and motivated, no matter what your current physical ability is. Now if only he can figure a way to get my hair back...

Next Step is the next level of boutique fitness gyms/studios in Harrisburg. Ivan is a terrific coach and leader: inspirational and fun while still demanding the best from us. All the people I workout with are wonderful and we never get bored because Ivan constantly changes everything up - week to week, month to month. I could not be happier with a trainer or gym setup. You get what you pay for and you'll be delighted with what you get from Next Step.

I have been going here for probably about 7 months now but for some reason never thought to look this place up on Yelp. The instructor Ivan is fantastic and makes the group workouts a lot of fun. All the people that go here are also very nice and people vary in athleticism so you do not have to feel intimidated or anything when you go here. They also offer semi private and private classes if you want a more hands on experience and recently started yoga.

I trained with Ivan when he worked in D.C. In short, Ivan basically changed my entire view on working out. I used to hate it. Now I love it. And I'm in great shape (thanks Ivan) to boot.
