Was trying to open another checking account. After being there for couple minutes shy of an hour something was wrong with their computer. So left to get something to eat while the computer issue was fixed. Came back to bank to finish opening the 2nd account and my wife needed to use the restroom and she was told to go across the street to the hotel and use their restroom. I will notify the hotel that M&t are sending their costumers to their hotel restroom. I could see if I was just a person off the street but I have many different accounts with this bank and my wife was denied to use the restroom very unprofessional especially after being there way longer than should have been.So if you have banking to do that might take some time stay far away from this branch.

I have been with M & T bank for years, Actually starting with Homestead Savings and Loan. In the last 5 or so years I have noticed that they have little respect for customer service. Their tellers are poorly trained as well as the branch managers. Recently they have refused to cash a money order which could be used as cash in any other business, or to deposit kit as cash into my checking account. I was forced to go to the bank that issued the money order to get it cashed. More recently I transferred money from savings to checking at the Lingelstown Branch. I even said to the teller, "This will be available today, right?" She assured me it would. My wife and I then went grocery shopping at Aldie's off 322. When it was time to pay with my debit card it was declined. I left my wife who is a recovering stroke victim and went to the Derry St. M & T. The teller told me there was nothing they could do that I had to go to the Lingelstown Branch. I told her that I had my stroke victim wife sitting with a grocery cart and insisted that she do something she took ten minutes talking to the manager and then came back to tell me again there was nothing they could do. I had to drive back and pick up my wife, take her home, drive to Lingelstown where I angrily, loudly with profanity, demanded they fix the problem. After they took at least five minutes to figure out how to fix there mistake I had to drive back to the grocery store get the groceries and then drive home. THREE HOURS OF MY DAY WASTED BECAUSE OF THEIR INCOMPETENCE. The next day I received a notice that M & T no longer wanted my business because of MY unprofessional behavior. I would not recommend M & T to my very worst enemy!!

Visited this place quite a few times, the tellers were always nice and it was never crowded, loved not making a huge line.

This downtown branch with parking for patrons located in the rear of the building is a pleasure to do business with, whenever I am visiting from the New England region. The staffing and energy levels here are very welcomed compared to my experiences with Bank of America in the Northeast region. Keep up the good work.
