They always have an amazing selection of yarn whenever I come in here. Came in looking for T-shirt yarn and ended up grabbing a few extra skans of yarn!
Joann is much better than Michael's, in my opinion.
My only complaint will be about the young lady that was working the register. It was around 6:30-7 pm on 7-16-24, her name is Jamie. I was waiting at the checkout line, as she was talking to a friend. I waited for probably 4 or 5 minutes before she came over to the register to ring me out. She was ringing everything out, and I was making some jokes to pass the time. Such as, oh yeah I was so happy because I saw this bag there on clearance! She didn't ask if I wanted the yarn in a separate bag or anything. I tried to talk to her once again, but she seemed annoyed that I was there. I didn't spend $20, I spent $70. I was very happy with what I had gotten, however I almost wanted to leave because I didn't feel like a valued customer. I was actually interested in the loyalty program as well, but I wasn't told about it and I didn't ask about it.
Overall, it was an okay experience. I've never had issues here before since I have been coming to this specific location since I was little. However, Jamie had bad customer service skills. If she's working the front counter she should pay attention to her customers and not her friends.

On 1.8.2024 I ordered 7 yards of fabric. I TRIPLE CHECKED that my address was correct when paying through venmo. When I got the confirmation immediately after it had my OLD ADDRESS. I called and the woman canceled it without issue and told me to place the order again but to make sure it's the right address, which I was 100% positive I did already. I go and order again, this time taking a screen shot of my order and address before and after hitting confirm payment, just in case, and YET AGAIN WRONG ADDRESS. I call again, they inform me they CANT cancel the order. I ask to speak to a supervisor because 30 minutes prior they DID cancel it. He says this is a COMMON ISSUE AND THEY HAVE BEEN TELLING THEIR I.T SUPPORT TEAM ABOUT IT. He finally cancels the order. Tells me to place it again. At 1pm on 1.9.24 I place the order again. This time I take ALL ADDRESSES off of EVERYTHING and I take a VIDEO showing it's the RIGHT ADDRESS. AND YET AGAIN JOANNS AUTO FILLS WITH MY OLD ADDRESS FROM MY PROFILE WHICH I WASNT EVEN LOGGED INTO AND SEND IT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. I call YET AGAIN. I've been on hold for 25 minutes, all of it recorded because I DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY ANYMORE. They are refusing to cancel my order YET AGAIN even though it's THEIR WEBSITE THAT IS MESSING IT UP AND I HAVE VIDEO PROOF. Next step is CALLING MY BANK AND TELLING THEM ITS FRAUD. I've now ordered 21 yards of fabric. Two orders canceled but they're refusing to cancel the third when I have PROOF and they've ADMITTED it's their website when using apple pay, Google pay, venmo, or paypal!!!

I have never had a problem with this Joanns until today. Staff has always been very helpful and nice. Today a cashier told me I was going to make her leave just because I came to pick up a curbside order that I was told was ready. It was 11pm on a Sunday. I did not appreciate her comment or tone, and I would recommend to avoid this Joanns around the holidays if this is how they are going to treat people.

I'm so new to sewing, and don't have any projects behind me. The workers were beyond patient. They explained how to work through a pattern catalogue, how to pick the right amount of fabric, and even suffered through too many prospective fabric measurements with good humor. I remember Kaye (sp?) even paused to make sure I meant to buy the stretchy stuff. I'm someone who knows approximately nothing about sewing, and I came and left feeling that special space between being respected and not being preyed upon. Glad to have visited here.

This store has a wide range of fabrics and notions, just about anything you may need. However, I went for some simple black matte buttons for a man's double breast suit, but I couldn't find any.
