I’ve been with Mr. Hess for over 30 years now and all I can say is that Mr. house wanted to nicest Man that I have met in my lifetime and his service is excellent when it comes to taxes and you want to get it done correctly and you’re looking for someone to do them correctly. Mr. Hess and his people is the place to big. Thank you again Mr. Hess for all you have done, not just for me before everyone that has come through your office and stays. This is a place that when you walk in it becomes a part of your lifestyle Mr. Hess his people are that good have a great and blessed rest of your day.

The entire staff including James Hess is RUDE! They're on edge at the start of business. James is the leader of the unprofessional behaviors, his staff follows is nasty mouth. HORRIBLE, just HORRIBLE. They talk crazy to people who have questions and give attitude for no reason. I heard he's retiring, good for him, he's checked out. I called the office and asked if there was any special paperwork I needed to fill out before arriving. I have a number of businesses related deductions I needed to claim. I was told no. When I arrived at the office, I was told that I needed to take a form home and fill it in after all for the deductions. I spent several hours filling out the form and then went back again and returned everything. I informed several people in the office that I was going to be leaving town for several months and made sure that they were OK with everything being completed through the mail. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem. 3 weeks after I left the area, I got a call telling me that I needed to fly all the way back so that I could sit down in their office to go over things. No effort was made from that point on for them to do what they had said they would do. I had to have someone drive to their office and pick up my taxex documents so that they could be taken to another CPA.

If I could give zero stars, I would. James Hess is unprofessional, rude, and assumes you don’t know what you’re talking about bc you’re female. Go somewhere else to get your taxes done! I’m praying for this guy! He obviously needs to retire!

I just got off the phone with James and I will certainly be looking elsewhere for help. I attempted to call here to get some general information and see if he might be able to help us out with our tax situation. He was rude, dismissive, and told me he did not have time to get into it. He reluctantly offered to fit me in at the end of the month and stammered on about how it is just him. If you cannot run your business effectively and treat your customers right you should not be in business. Maybe it is time to retire....

I’ve never actually been here to file my taxes, but I had an horrible phone experience. I called with a simple question, needed more information on what was told to me and the clerk abruptly hung up the phone. When I called back, she said she was told to hang up the phone on me. Mind you I was not at all aggressive smh that wasn’t cool.

Jim and his team have truly been an asset in the greater Harrisburg area when it comes to diligent, affordable and accurate tax preparation. For nearly 15 years we have looked to Jim and have always been pleased with the service he provides.We once employed a nanny, had a rental property and other nuances that Jim always knew how best to navigate.Truly helpful and good people.
