Just an amazing facility. People are awesome there! Their prices on pet gear are very reasonable too!

Today I went to get my dog a full bloodwork panel. It’s $155 here and $300 everywhere else. I came here for the first time in February when Dr. Noelle was at a conference. The vet covering her was wonderful and understanding and very gracious about my dogs very complicated disease.(Addison’s)
For those who don’t know, Addison’s is an extremely expensive disease. For the first 2 years after her diagnosis I was paying an exorbitant amount of money. This can easily cost a pup parent $3k a year.
Since then I have taken custody of someone else’s child, 5 other pets, and my wife and I work extremely hard to take care of everyone. So we looked for more affordable options for treatment. One way was to half the cost of her bloodwork by coming here. I was so happy to find somewhere to get this done for less than half a weeks pay.
Dr. Noelle came into the office today to remind me Addisons is expensive and that I was wasting her time “treating her like a technician” by only getting bloodwork. She told me to remember that if I need to come back, “which you shouldn’t.” And actively used her tone and words to make me feel guilty for not going to my regular vet for this. I never asked her to be my vet, I never asked her to diagnose or treat my dog. Just bloodwork. I brought up some new hotspots my dog has with the changing of weather and when I told her my game plan to fix that, she said “Well you aren’t doing enough.”
She actively tried to guilt me and make me feel like a bad dog parent. AT THE SHELTER. Statistics state that most owners with an Addisons dog give them up due to the cost of treatment. I’ve been caring for her with this for THREE years. To be told I’m not doing enough or that I shouldn’t come back makes me livid. I stayed quiet until my dogs panel was done. I wasn’t even going to review this place because I know how hard being a vet could be.
For reference, all the stuff she gave me for the hotspots (and apparently a skin infection? Which my dog has had before when I initially got her and it didn’t look like this.) was $300. I repeat THREE HUNDRED. Imagine going to a regular vet? But apparently I don’t look or sound poor enough to be treated here and I’m “taking a spot from someone who actually needs the financial help.”
It’s giving pull up your bootstraps - which I have been doing for years now. I’m just extremely disappointed and sad. I’m not sorry for being an inconvenience to this place because I can’t afford a regular bloodwork panel.

I found a Cat in my backyard, i came to humane society of Harrisburg to ask if they can take the cat in, she said i have 2 options:
1- that i will 135$ fee to leave the cat
2- East Pensboro have to pay for it wich they won't as she said
So basically i have to pay 135$ for the cat that i found for them to take him in, what a joke i taught this is animal shelter for lost and found cats and dogs, but unfortunately it is bank shelter to fill their packet.
What is really upset when she said cut him loose in the street, i said what happened if it got ran over she said with no emotions i can't do anything until you pay the fee.
I am really shocked and now i took the cat in until i find someone that will be able to take care of him, i can't leave him in the street ?, we are leaving with vicious people that only speak money language and lost their sole in the process.
My number is 7178845318, text me if you know someone want to provide shelter for this cute Cat.

Dr Noelle Weeks has her practice at this facility and is, in my opinion, fantastic. She has been caring for my 3 dogs as well as my children's dogs for a long time. She also cares for many dogs that we bring to her through A Tail to Tell, a puppy mill rescue organization. She and her staff are exemplary in their care and kindness to our extended family of pets.

My daughter & I went to the shelter today for the 1st time. I was highly impressed at the living conditions, animal conditions & how much staff were caring for the place & animals. Everyone was helpful, kind & seemed happy to be working there. The place was way cleaner, way less stinky than I anticipated. The cages were clearly marked w important info about each dog. You clearly knew which dogs you could pet & which ones not to pet. I plan on making it a mission to start taking the dogs out on day trips & posting on local social media these day trips, so people can see these dogs out of the shelter and help some of them get adopted. Visiting there today helped me understand my new mission more fully. I look forward to getting to know these dogs and hopefully help a few of them get loving homes. ❤️

The staff is polite. They do their best to get you in and out. Expect parking between 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm to be overly crowded, but with patience and respect not a big deal.

The blonde receptionist with the uneven eyebrows was extremely rude and unprofessional and I was trying to talk to the male receptionist and she kept talking over the male receptionists and me with an attitude and I kindly asked her to double check if a dog was available and she rudely straight up denied me and I think your customer service should be better and more approachable.
