Decent place, clean, nice and friendly staff. But this is a rest stop, or if you're here for business you're basically in the middle of nowhere. I stayed here for business
Rooms: Rooms were nice and clean. With relatively modern furniture. I do not like how small the bathroom is and that the sink is in the room not the bathroom

We only stayed one night. According to what I saw, it was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Rooms: The rooms are spacious and clean
Nearby activities: There is the Hersey park amusement park

Let me start to break it down:
1. Location
High traffic with big trucks around it, because it's near of truck stop, truck services, and truck rest area. Closed by Hersey Park like a 15-minute drive. MC Donald and Dunkin are near the hotel.
2. Clean lines and comfort
The room was clean but not with a white towel and the white bed sheet. Some of them had stains on them. When entering the bathroom there was a musty smell, which can be from the shower curtains.
We were on the second floor and could hear the noise from people walking in the corridor.
Hand washing is done outside the bathroom which is near the door entrance, so when I wanna brush my teeth or wash my hands after using the toilet, I disturb my other family members that were sleeping ?.
3. Breakfast
I had my breakfast with my kids on Wednesday, August 14. At 8 am, there wasn't milk available to eat with the cereals. My daughter asked about the breakfast attendance and she politely said no more milk was available (oops someone forgot to order milk). On that day, they didn't put labels on each dish. But the next day the label was there. The breakfast selection was pretty decent. Toast, bagels, muffins, egg dishes (omelet or scrambled egg), turkey patties, and potato dishes. Cinnamon rolls, pancakes, yogurt, cereals, juices station, coffee and tea station. Oatmeal, apples, and oranges that look a few days old.
4. Employees
Notice that some of the staff are Egyptians and on Wednesday, August 14 afternoon around 4 pm, one of the housekeeping staff was cursing at the other staff in their language. It was so loud and kind of scary.
Whoever is responsible for staff hiring should give these people proper training on how to become professional hoteliers. Especially for the front of the house employees. They never greet the guests that come or go through the lobby. Not even an eye contact . I was a hotelier and worked with Holiday Inn back in 2010 and when it came to staff training related to how to exceed guest satisfaction, Holiday Inn always provided it for the new joiner.
5. Facilities
Check-in on Tuesday, August 13 in the afternoon and was told that the Pool was closed due to the pump issue and would be able to reopen at 10 am. The next day until our last stay which was August 16, the pool was still closed (none tend to fix it). My kids were upset expecting that they could use the pool, when I booked the hotel.
Washer and Dryer (each cost $1.50) are available for the guest to use but it only accepts quarters, and when we were checking in, the front desk mentioned that they don’t provide any quarters. Should go to other places to change the bill into quarters. Who carries quarters nowadays (my mistake I should brought it with me). So if you are planning to wash your clothes, don’t forget to bring quarters.
Overall our experience was good because it was within our budget and everything was okay. My suggestion to the higher management is please give proper training and educate the employees to be able to operate and run this hotel better ??.

The pool was closed, they said it was broke, but to be honest nothing looked wrong with it. The breakfast is nothing compared to the pictures on the site, the rooms didn’t have a jet tub like it stated. We got roomed next to this huge party of very loud obnoxious people who constantly made noise all hours of the night, they shouldn’t have put us near a room with loudness like that knowing we had two small children. The little store in the hotel had absolutely nothing but 2 or 3 options. No snacks. Nothing like the website stated. This was a terrible trip, the shower head was broken. It was an absolute nightmare

Very clean rooms and extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and the gym is small however there is dumbbells and a treadmill which does the job. Only issue was the TV not working and the indoor pool being out of order. Other than that had a good experience and this hotel gave my family and I the one thing that we needed, a comfortable and clean place to sleep.

Worst experience I have ever had at a Holiday Inn Express.
Clif notes: MAN in room, dirty room, shower head falling apart mid shower, no manager.
When I arrived on a Saturday, my room was dirty and I was told there was no house keeping. So I had to clean my room my self. I couldn't leave because every other hotel in my price range was fully booked. After I cleaned the room, I went to join my kids in the pool. When I left to go back upstairs to first grab a towel before getting in the pool my key card would not work. I knocked hoping one of my kids would be in the room. They were not however a MAN was. In a matter of minutes they gave my room to a man. Eventually, I got the room back. Also, the room phone did not work and my shower head started flaking off as I was showering. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they didn't have one for weekends . I asked on Monday and was told they didn't know when a manger would be , possibly at 3pm. I left my number and had no return call. There was nothing done for compensation, except for one check in lady gave me 5,000 points to my IHG account. When I approached 3 separate check in people I was told my room wasn't cleaned on Saturday because I had a do not disturb sign on the door. However, I didn't even check in until around 630PM...so that didn't even make since. Then I was told that I was offered a different room, I was not. The guy who was double booked in my room was given the "offered room" it was a king bed room and I have a family of 4 and they didn't even offer it in the first place. I was then told by an employee who knocked on my door that he was a manger and then when I started to ask questions he said he was not the manager. I highly advise to not stay here. Apparently they are under new ownership. Well the new owner hasn't called and the managers do not exist.

Beware this Hotel is a Trap taking advantage of seniors not computer savvy & who book via direct telephone to hotel…Grievance includes not disclosing their non refundable cancellation policy…only interested in selling their membership rewards….as well as next level robbery of immediate CC charging of full stay despite reservation dates being 6-weeks out…. refusing to give refund to 82yo who made reservation in error and tried to cancel <24 hrs after phone call with reservation clerk… Will forfeit entire stay charge if you do cancel…..IN addition charging the highest daily rate $549 for 2-night stay when online stay cost same dates at max $350….Absolutely no help from IHG… No Compassion or Hospitality….would NEVER recommend any IHG hotels /Holiday Inn Express NE & their Inhospitable policies….
