Dr. Walck and her entire staff have always been incredibly kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. We’ve been going here for 12 years, even when we lived in Virginia, because of the care we’ve always received for our baby. ? If you are looking for an honest, compassionate (and affordable!) vet, look no further. ?

Good for a last minute weekend emergency appointment. Staff was pleasant, 2 people, but still somewhat uncomfortable with the atmosphere. Perhaps because it wasn't my regular vet. I don't live in Virgina.

We love Dr.Dana and the staff at Harrisburg Area Animal Hospital! They are very patient with us and have gone above and beyond with our pet needs. I highly recommend.

Customer service was very poor. I explained my pet's situation to the personal that answered the phone, he replied, "we're not taking any new patients" although I didn't ask to be seen. I then asked to be referred to or simply tell me the name of another animal clinic, he denied my request and hung up the phone.

Took my dog there for a 3:00 appt at 3:20 I asked how long is the wait time. Was told the computers were down. The one rude receptionist said to the other tell them 10 minute wait. I replied I've been here for over 20 minutes. Her response we had two emergencies today. Why wasnt I told about the delay when I got there? Also when I got there four people were behind the desk only one addressed me or even smiled. Humans dont like waiting so I knew my dog was ready to go. Also let me mention my dog and me were the only ones in the waiting room. One dog did leave but no other dogs were there. Also I had to wait over two weeks for his appts. We were finally taking back. When leaving the 3:00 appt at 3:55 I asked for the Dr notes and was told I would have to wait. My credit card wad taking and a receipt but for Dr notes I would have to wait. Wow. This is to be mailed to me. If the merger is this kind of service now I'm not sure if I will be going back or will be telling others to go here.

I've been using this vet for years. Usually, they are very friendly and helpful. But when it comes to prescriptions, you're better off going elsewhere. I called to get a presc. refill for my dog. The older woman answered and I asked for a 60 day supply, she said no problem. I asked how much, she said $8.40, great I said, Costco is $7.40. For the $1 difference I don't need to drive further. I went to pick them up, she did not tell me I had to wait outside and call when I spoke to her earlier, and I didn't have my pet with me, I was just picking up the presc. I open the door and while she's on the phone she stands up and yells "STOP! Wait outside, I'll come to you." She finally comes to the door, WITHOUT a mask, and proceeds to tell me they are limiting the people inside because of COVID. (The waiting room was completely empty and NO ONE was at the counter. And apparently, she only follows PART of the CDC guidelines.). She asked what I wanted and took my card to process the sale. She walked back (AGAIN without a mask), hands me the presc and my receipt. And I left. Today, I'm feeding my dog and realize there are only a couple pills left in the bottle. (bottle is dark blue and I dump one out in my hand. You can't see them and I didn't look inside til today). I looked at the label and see she had it filled for only 14 DAYS, not the 30 days I requested and she confirmed. Which means she also misquoted the price. Dr. Walck is an excellent Dr, you couldn't ask for someone better to treat your pets. However, some of her staff leave a lot to be desired.
