“I'm so impressed with Ire African Store! This African store has become my go-to for all my grocery needs. The selection of traditional ingredients and spices is incredible, and the owner is always friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the products is top-notch. I love that I can find authentic African brands and products here, and the store is always well-stocked. The owner is also very knowledgeable and always willing to offer recipe suggestions and cooking tips. I highly recommend Ire African Store to anyone looking for a unique and authentic shopping experience. 5 stars and keep up the great work!”

“I'm in town for work and stopped by here today and was feeling bummed I couldn't grocery shop and take everything home with me to Colorado! This is such a cute little place and there are so many great products and choices. They have raw milk which I've never seen in a store, thought that was really cool (don't be scared, raw milk is good). I love the idea of a grocery store like this. There's a little place for coffee in here and I got a cute cappuccino. It was really good and the aesthetic was just a pleasantly surprising lil bonus. Would love to get food from here when I'm in a town a little longer.”

“I always shopped from Aldi by instacart. The visit at the shop was a nice experience. I could explore the items and chose from that. As it was nearly closing time, vegetables were not fresh, which was valid. The fruits were really good though.”

“I am trying to branch out and make some new dishes, so I started cooking from the Dishoom cookbook. I found almost everythingI needed for the recipes here and all the items were more reasonably priced than buying off Amazon. Plus, the staff were extrememly nice and helpful. “I've been shopping at Superior's since before my son was born and that's over 50 years. Fresh meats always, fresh vegetables always, and the family is the kindest and friendliest always. Even though they occasionally raise prices, the prices are fair, after all they have to live too but they don't pass the burden on to their customers. I appreciate the fact that they also deliver. And even though the store is small it's cozy and has a friendly atmosphere, it's like the customers are family as well and I hope they never ever move.”

“I kept going back for the bakery. The donuts are the best in Central PA. I would also pick up a few items. I love how they employ young people with special needs. I asked one where I could find something. Before he could answer, another employee with pink hair just suddenly appeared like a fairy and asked me to repeat my question. I did and the first employee matter of factly told me the correct aisle despite his disability. It was a magical moment. Next time I am in Central PA, I will go back for donuts +.”

“I was looking for fresh curry leaves and called 4 other markets before getting to this one. The other markets didn't have any or just didn't answer their phones. I was pleasantly surprised when I got here. Bal, one of the owners was very helpful and they have a nice selection of fresh produce and even wider selection of grocery ingredients for ethnic cooking. I would come back here and recommend this market if you are cooking Indian food.”

“The best pharmacy I've ever went to. They will explain everything to you if you have new medication, they always answer the phone even when low staffed and they even go above and beyond to help add any discount they can to your medication to make it cheaper for you.”

“From the outside you get the impression that this is a store for Spanish food only, but this place has everything. It's like a miniature grocery store. Some prices are higher than grocery stores, but nothing crazy. They accept WIC vouchers, so the cereal is higher than normal. But overall it beats the price of the many corner stores around the area.”

“Great local international grocery store! We stopped by for the first time and there were a lot of nice grocery options, and decent prices. The store is laid out well and there's a few parking spots in front. There was a lot of good tea and spices! Overall great place and I recommend it!”

“My favorite store in Harrisburg. I love this store because why pay full price at Giants when you can get it here for 1/2. The way the economy is, I'd rather stretch every dollar I can! Thank you, Price Rite, for being my number 1!”

“I love this store. They are always stocked and the prices are as reasonable as they can be in this climate of uncertainty across the the country. The employees are always helpful and so nice. It's in a not so great neighborhood but still worth the trip. I have always been welcomed with warm smiles and an old school atmosphere of nostalgia that Always helps me to remember the way things used to be.”

“Great place that is packed with variety you won't find in other nearby stores. The family is friendly, welcoming, helpful and patient. They think of your health, wear masks and even place coverings on the ATM(s). It's easily my favorite nearby store to go when low on essentials.”

“This Weis is very convenient for me but I find their prices are higher compared to other grocery stores in the area. My husband enjoys their selection of beer and alcoholic seltzer. Tip: if you buy seltzer or beer at a grocery store you don't have to pay taxes like you would at a beer store. The selection might not always be the same but you might be able to save a little money.”

“I just wanted to state that the sign states that they have ethanol free 92 octane which is a very good gas for small engines like mowers, weedwackers, chainsaws, and snowblowers.”

“Hello, from what I have heard & know due to living here most of my life sometimes I had been living somewhere else & I have known this mom & pop type store since we moved our mobile home here & then from 1999 to 2001 we built a larger home by mostly 2 brothers working after an 8 hour shift or full time on weekends for almost two years & having a store within 10 minutes walking distance & that is from someone who is disabled with right leg 5 cm or almost 2 inches shorter than the left leg & is painful yet being able to have them so close provides exercise & due to not owning a vehicle (a hybrid would be suitable) yet I have a handicap parking permit & do use my fraternal twin's truck & also installed our own garage doors and openers. I actually went today to get milk and other things & are always open during the scheduled time. I hope they are around at least another 5 years since I am looking forward to what the whole world can accomplish to reverse Global Warming & I am just getting started!!!!!”

“My usual go to grocery store, but the location in Union Deposit has gone downhill. The selection seems to be getting smaller as items that I have purchased in the past are no longer stocked.Ploughman's mustard & Melinda's Hot sauce are just two staples that are no longer available. The Linglestown store is by far the best in the area, with the Grayson Road location coming in second. The meat department in Linglestown is amazing with the dry aged beef program.Pricey, yes, but totally worth every dollar. Seeing as quality steakhouses are a dying breed around here, why not cook your own at home the way you like it?The seafood department at either location is mediocre at best, although they do at times have an ok selection of fresh fish. Just be careful and sniff the fish before you buy, as I've almost brought home fish past its prime. The fishmonger was happy to take it back and substitute another fish. The produce department at all locations is adequately stocked, but contrary to the commercials, everything is not always ripe and at peak freshness. Also, the bakery department varies by location. The Cronuts are better at the Linglestown location for some reason. You'd think they all come from the same freezer truck, but there is definitely a difference.Nowadays I shop at Aldi's and Sharp Shopper for the bulk of my food items and finish up my shopping at Giant for the high end stuff like Meats, seafood and veggies. If there were a Wegmans or Trader Joe's closer, I would shop there without a doubt, but Giants is a little better than Weis. Karns is my #2 grocery store.”
