It’s a company built upon fear and intimidation. Considering google gives them a $10k a month allowance so they can “write” their own advertising, this review will not last long. However it will be posted and reposted on other outlets! As my employees disclosed to me that I was being “set up” my hr specialist replied “we cannot dictate what other employees discuss amongst themselves!” And as I made multiple phone calls to Goodwill industries International only to be told that they do not get involved in store level operations. I felt it necessary to show why I lost my job. The very next year everyone in those executive management chairs started counting out those new pay raises as direct spending on clients went from $73,000 to a mere $17,000...... all because the “piece count” legislation expired and the clients couldn’t be exploited for $2 an hour any longer! But yet they are so proud that now those 22 clients make $9 / hr! See what kind of life you can expect making $9 an hour from an organization committed to help people with learning disabilities become more self sufficient! Those top level executives typically come with a degree of higher education of at least a bachelors with most requiring a masters which might help explain a 16% salary increase..... a person won’t see many degrees taking up space on the walls of the folks who have been awarded salaries of almost $200k a year! Next closest 501c3 in our area in regard to revenue is reach charter cyber school and they have 1 top paid executive making over $125,000. Central PA food bank does over $92 million and they have 0 employees making over $100k. Goodwill Keystone has at least 5 making upwards of $195k and boasting a direct spending on clients of $17,800.....about $8,000 less than the raises they celebrated after unloading a bunch of people!

I stopped visiting the York store months ago because it was always so dirty, disorganized and the staff just was unprofessional. I've always been a Goodwill shopper and decided to stop in at the Loucks Road store for the Friends & Family sale this past weekend. My daughter and I both noticed a significant change in terms of the store cleanliness, organization, and the staff was simply amazing. I asked one staff member where linens were and she took the time to walk me right over to the location. I noticed the cashier was cleaning the counters and register. The store was very clean, didn't see a lot of dust and broken items in the shelves like before, and the store was bright and organized. The staff seems to have a much better attitude than months ago. I commented to the cashier how great the store was and she thanked me, and said she was the new manager. She asked if I had any suggestions for improvement and I said the dressing rooms were very dim and she said she would definitely address that as they were having lighting worked on soon. Overall it was a very positive visit and I do plan to visit the store regularly.

Shipped my auctioned items to someone else over the holiday season. These were meant to be a gift for a friend suffering during this pandemic, and I was unable to provide. Was in contact with customer support for nearly 2 months, and was never able to get my product from whomever it was that they shipped to (don't really understand why). However, they were communicative and issued me a refund, though I don't understand why I could never get my books, or why the individual who did receive my order never returned it.

Buyer beware. I won an online auction with this store. After a week, when shipping was not updated on line, I contacted them and they said they "accidentally recycled" my purchase and would refund my money. They did not refund my money until after I contacted them when it should have been done immediately upon the realization they screwed up. This is unacceptable. I am appalled at the incompetence and lack of customer service from this store. I will not be doing business with this store again.

I ordered for this Goodwill online. I let several days pass, but there was no update to my order. I message them and they reply with, "Your item was delivered to the wrong person OR it was sent to recycling." How do you not know which of the two?!?!?! How could that happen? If it was sent to the wrong person, why is there no effort in retrieving it? It is a shame, because I purchased a beautiful, signed print that is now lost. Yes I got a refund, but I wanted my item. If this is a reoccurring issue, maybe this Goodwill should refrain from online sales. I am an online seller myself and this transaction was a complete disappointment. AVOID!
