I’ll firstly start by saying that they did get the job done. They were able to successfully tow my vehicle for me. The driver had no issues doing it and seemed like he had been doing it for years.
My issue was in how they dealt with payment. In my first phone conversation they asked me a few questions to determine my price. The price they gave me was $101 which was reasonable.
The driver waited until 3/4 of the process was over to tell me that the job was now going to cost more due to “extra labor” . If the job was going to cost more, why would that not have been said from the beginning when you could easily analyze the situation. Instead the driver tried to hustle me.
When I called the company to get an answer from customer service, (I wasn’t going to pay him with out confirming with the company first) the representative was extremely unreceptive to what I had to say. I explained to her that I can’t control how difficult the driver thinks the job is. I explained to her that the driver had no trouble at all from my perspective and that the rate should not be able to change based on the subjective view of the employee. (It benefits him to say that he worked harder and it comes at the customers expense and there’s no way to prove otherwise) (imagine how many times he has probably done this for an extra buck)
I ended up paying the driver in exact change but I will not be using these services again for the simple fact that I don’t like to be hustled. Would much rather deal with a straight up company that is overpriced than a liar.
I had a lot of time on my hands today but this happened 30 minutes ago and I’m hot about it.

Very Expensive. Will not release unit afterhours or over the weekend adding on storage fees conveniently. Will only accept wire transfer to release your property.

About a week ago, I had a motorcycle accident. Dingman's was the tow company called by PA State Police. When the driver arrived, he was very friendly and compassionate, asking if I was Ok. He explained all my options and I decided to have my bike towed to their yard. During the drive we were able to have a conversation, and again I found him to be friendly yet professional. Once we arrived at the yard, he again checked to make sure I was ok. They worked well with my insurance company and all was taken care of. The thing that most impressed me was the fact they took the time to recover two "gremlin bells" from my bike and send them to me. I can't thank them enough for that. Awesome company. Car would not start while I was out doing food deliveries. They had my car on a truck and on its way to the repair shop within 30 minutes of calling, and at a very reasonable price. I wrecked my car. They showed up to clean up the road and tow my car off the street and to their tow yard in Hummelstown. . The lady working at the window when I came to pay my bill was so nice.
