I have four dogs that I take to this office my husband has been going to this office since the 80s with his dogs today was the worst experience I've had at this office and it has nothing to do with COVID-19. I had my puppy there three weeks ago and because she was so small the doctor was not comfortable giving her all her shots so they broke them out into three separate appointments I asked well we get charged the full office visit coming back for the shots? I was told by a very rude person on the phone that day no you will not pay $61 your next visit will be $25. Today at her next appointment we paid $56 they discounted it five bucks when I dressed what I was told the very rude short little old lady got smart with me and told me I was wrong even though I was told something by one of their employees. So very rudely she sent out Vicky who I believe is the office manager and my daughter used to work for! She was also very rude and very nasty I thought to myself I'm pretty sure that I am a paying customer! I just spent over $800 at this office in the past 3 weeks to be treated so rudely. We will never return with our FOUR DOGS! Dr.Keim no disrespect to you but you need to check that rude bunch of women running your office.

Loving and dedicated animal hospital. Our sweet cat needed urgent attention, but we hadn't hunter established a vet. They squeezed us in, and didn't mind me calling to check on her. Loving nurses and staff as well! Love that they have a "cat side" and a "dog side"!! Super kid friendly as well.

I used this clinic with my previous cat; it is convenient and I liked the vets and vet techs. He died a few months ago and they sent a sympathy card--very nice of them. Last week I found a male kitten and decided to take him in. I just called them to find out how much it would cost to have him neutered when the time comes. They gave me an "estimate" of $320!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked twice, "This is the cost for a MALE cat? Right?" I mean, it's not major surgery to neuter a male cat! I think I'll be calling around to other vets. I know Harrisburg vets are expensive, but give me a break. I just can't afford to pay $320 to have a male cat neutered. If I have to find a vet in Lancaster County, I'll drive there!

5 stars and would give more if possible . People who gives less apparently don't know how to communicate!? Super friendly staff. Knows u and your by name even though we just go there for routine! Got some great tips there about care of our dog, even google couldn't help us here. Very grateful for their knowledge. Prices are average to fair , I rather spent a lil bit more but have the peace of mind our dog is in good hands.

I feel obligated to write a review about this vet since there are no others posted. I have been living in Harrisburg for 8 years and up until last year still drove my animals to my old vet nearly an hour away. I could trust the ethics and professionalism of my old vet, and found the cost to be reasonable so I was wary of making a change. Finally, though I decided it was time to try someplace closer to home. At the time, I had three dogs and two cats (we've since rescued one more dog). Although all those animals might make me seem crazy, I'm not. I wasn't going to take them all at once. I first scheduled appointments for two dogs, and then a second appt a few days afterwards for the third. They just needed check-ups and were due for shots. The cats were up to date. They offer a multi-pet discount if you have 3 or more pets. At the first appointment, I wasn't extended the discount (a whopping 5%) because the 3rd dog wasn't officially a patient yet, even though the appointment was already scheduled for later that week--this should have been a clue. At the visit, I felt forced into getting the dogs shots and tests that they hadn't seemed to need with my other vet. Leptospirosis? Questionable vaccine anyway, and my dogs seemed to feel terrible after getting it. Not to mention that one of the dogs ended up having 5 vaccines that day. Poor thing could barely lift his head for the next two days. I felt horrible. They also coerced me into the canine flu vaccine, and since I recently started boarding them from time to time I do think a worthwhile vaccine. But the real kicker at this place was that since it was the first time they had the flu shot they had to go back in 2-3 weeks for a booster. I figured it would be a quick visit for the three of them (I did take all three at once for the booster), only to have the vet do a VERY brief exam (think thermometer in the butt and not much more)---mind you the dogs had just had full physicals two weeks prior. At check out I was charged for a PHYSICAL EXAM for EACH dog, plus the booster shots. What I figured would be a $50 visit turned out to be over $200. When I questioned them about being charged for an exam again I was told "we have to examine the dog to be sure it's healthy before we administer vaccines". I was floored. I would have thought the physical 2 weeks prior would have proved their healthfulness. Not to mention that if they really felt like taking a rectal temperature proved something, they might have just extended it as a courtesy rather than charging me an exam fee for it. In addition, one of the dogs apparently had worms, but of course all of them needed to be treated "just in case" . I truly wonder if any of them had worms or if that was just another way to make a few bucks. Needless to say, after paying nearly $800 for yearly exams and shots for my 3 dogs, I haven't returned to this vet. It's pretty easy to tell the difference between a place trying to make money and one that really cares about your animals. It might also be interesting to check out this article if you second-guess my thoughts about this place:
