We switched to this vet because it was much closer to our house. After constant visits and not many results, we decided to find a new vet. What drove us to that decision was when we made an appointment for my dog's legs giving out, and rather than doing a checkup, the doctor gave us an estimate for an x-ray for a minimum of $1,500. I paid the visit fee and left. I had my dog's records sent to the humane society and made an appointment. The doctor at the humane society performed a full exam and informed us that he did not need an X-ray yet. From her exam, she found that it was more of a neurological issue due to his response to certain movements. She said that if he were to need an x-ray, it would be for his back, not his legs. She saved us $1,500!!! I highly recommend shopping around for vets, especially when you are questioning the price of the services. This is not the first time that Capitol Area quoted us high amounts. It’s not only about the price but also the care for our pets. Again, we were not noticing any results, which made us question everything.

This place is OK if you don't have anyplace else to take pets but they charged me 350 and I didn't even get a pill for the cat they wanted to bleed me for more but I didn't go back

The staff was friendly and I was impressed that the doctor cited resent studies regarding animal care.

Echoing some previous comments that the staff and medical professionals were very nice and knowledgeable but the prices are extremely high. Moreover, they are not upfront about pricing and pressured me into the six month supply of flea prevention (for my indoor cat) without mentioning the $200 price tag. My fault for not asking before hand but a warning that it was so pricey would have saved me a good deal of headache.

The staff and medical personnel are very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the pricing at this location is significantly above other veterinarians. For a sedated x-ray of my dog's legs, they had estimated ~$1500. I went to another vet and their estimate was $450.

As if losing a pet isn’t hard enough, when my parent arrived to this facility to pick up our cats ashes in a memorial box, she was told that our cat was cremated and buried in a public cremation with other pets. We did not receive our cats ashes. I can’t tell you how crushing, disheartening, and devastating this is. Out of all the things for this facility to mess up, it’s the post-life care of our cat. We paid 250-300 dollars for her cremation and memorial box, and we didn’t receive any of it. Me and my mother spoke with one of the nurses face to face right after putting our cat CONFIRMING exactly what we wanted and to make sure the name on the box was correct. Now it doesn’t matter, we don’t get to take our cats ashes home. Do NOT take your pet here for end of life care, because the same mistake could happen for you. I will not be satisfied until we get a full refund and some sort of compensation for this horrific mistake that has happened. We will never be taking our pets to this facility ever again.

we've been going here since the late 90s. They've always been great and have been very caring when we had to euthanize one of our kitties. I recommend them without reservation.

The staff was nice but thisl PLACE WAS VERY OVER PRICED. For two shots and two test and some pills my total bill was over 650.00 my previous vet ( who retired) what's not even half that price Sims ironic I turned down a vaccination and all of a sudden they were saying my dog had that had the disease. I find that to be interesting. And I paid to have a heartworm test done and I never received the results. Like I said the staff is very nice it's a very clean the way out of budget. I am looking for a new vet that is more cost-conscious
