Snotty bar tenders, terrible service If you’re not a regular. I’m a disabled veteran, been to many legions all over the country and have never been treated so rudely. If you’re a veteran and want to be treated with dignity, avoid going to the 1001!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This event was going great until this man in a green cap came over harassing our group. While cleaning up at the end of our event, which was cut short because we were told 30 minutes before our event that there was confusion with the end time. We were cleaning and going over to offer any remaining food when this guy claiming her was a vet threatened several women in our group and shoved family members. Even threatened to "bust a cap" in a few of the members at our event. With young children present. Caused so much commotion my 2 year old toddler started trembling and crying against me. We were there celebrating a birthday with children and elders, when this man became blatantly disrespectful and vulgar. We were moving quickly to get our things out when he disturbed our process threatening and provoking several people in our party. Wouldn't recommend anyone to host an event at this establishment. Especially when it says no fire arms but this man openly threatens to shoot women at our event with several children present. Such an unsettling event during what was supposed to be a joyous occasion.

My family and I had a terrible experience. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. We hosted a birthday party there over the weekend for my grandmother a drunk man as well as other men kept coming over, monitoring us while we celebrated and harassing us the entire time up until we left. Rushing us to clean up, arguing with us, trying to fight women, threatening to “bust a cap in all of us”. Pushing tables against me while trying to clean up. He was not invited to the party nobody knew this man but he came over from the bar demanding us to clean up by a specific time so he could set up for his event. Demanded respect due to him being a veteran and we also had veterans at our party that he threatened. He also did all of this in front of the children. Terrible experience would not recommend this place at all. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

There is a liability waiting to happen at this place based on my experience and observation of how the staff conduct themselves. Be prepared to call 911 if you choose to use this venue and be safe. I was recently there with family to celebrate a birthday. Quite frankly, there seemed to be a problem from the time we arrived to start decorating. We were told to ask for Tony when we got there, but showed up later while alleging he was there already. He kept coming at me regarding a discrepancy with the contract, saying that the party was to end much sooner what had been agreed upon and the time we were supposed to be there to set up. Strangely, he kept coming to me as if it was my event. I was from out of state and simply there for the celebration and help set up. That’s it.He and other staff continued to post themselves in the room to watch us, and interject. The main aggressor made sure to brazenly announce his name several times throughout the night, FRED/Frank (the crazy man in the green jacket and hat). At the end, my family promptly began cleaning up at 10pm as they told us (despite the contract breach). While Fred was the main aggressor, there were several other staff members who were nasty as well. Fred was out of control from shoving a table into a young lady, to getting in 2 of my nephews face in a fighting stance trying to taunt them, and at the worst, threatening to shoot us. He had my attention even more from that point on. When most of our cleaning was done and most people left, I watched him go out of his way across the room to re-approach my one nephew who was preoccupied and happened to be alone. I watched and made my way closer to again try to diffuse a situation he was about to start. It sounded like he was “sizing up” my nephew and bragged about being a Vietnam war veteran. It’s as if he was on the hunt for anyone he THOUGHT he could scare or intimidate and start problems. If I was one who intervened and attempted to diffuse some of the heated conflicts, why was other staff not seen trying to intervene and get Fred to stop. He was a loose cannon. In fact, they contributed with hostility, such as the dispute over the food boxes. Around the time of that dispute is when “Fred” made the statement of “busting a cap in all of us.” Shortly after, the Hispanic lady from the kitchen came out with an attitude as if we were the problem. The double doors between the banquet hall and bar had been propped open. She yelled at us to close the doors and keep them closed. We were glad to have the doors closed so we could be left alone to focus and hurry to get TF out of there. Moments later, one of the guys opened the doors back up to stir up trouble again.It was such disgusting, shameful behavior on their part, especially Fred. Why brag about rank and being a war veteran when you act like that? Why work towards rank and defending the country, yet threaten innocent American lives on American soil? What happened to being a man of honor, integrity, standards, and of upright morale? You tarnish every accomplishment you’ve ever made with that behavior. How would you like it if another serviceman or woman, or veteran, treated your loved ones like that? There’s nothing that any of the party attendees did or said that warranted any threats of gun violence, or any violence at all.

Where management team when you need them ?Needed to give this establishment 0 stars.Our family hosted an event here for our grandmothers birthday over the weekend .What was supposed to end beautifully turned into a disaster all because two guys (one in a green jacket and green hat) and some other guy.Both drunk trying to fight our family (women to be exact ) threatening us that they're carrying. They were so rude and yelling uncontrollably.They kept coming over to the party harassing us and demanding us to get out of there so he can set up for his event which wasn’t until the next day.If he would’ve opened his eyes and closed his mouth, he would’ve seen that we were cleaning and packing everything up .We had reservations until 11pm to get out of there, it wasn’t even 10:30pm and he was trying to set up for his event.Demanding respect due to him being a veteran. We had veterans amongst us who don’t carry themselves in such way .Whole situation could’ve been avoided if he would’ve called another adult over and speak to them privately to ask is it ok as your cleaning up, can I set up ?but to be blatantly rude and disrespectful is uncalled for . They were doing all this in front of children who were just there trying to celebrate their great grandmother, how are you an adult conducting yourself in such ways.

My rating would be a 0 or - number.Very disrespectful and ignorant!!!!I held my 70th birthday party there, paid for it weeks in advance with the hours being from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. 4 hours. During our celebration the employees there were very ignorant, there was one in particular in a green jacket and a cap, kept announcing he was a veteran (professed to be the Sergeant at Arms), like he was the only vet, AND HE WAS NOT invited, but conveniently set himself at a table and kept going in and out, accompanied by some other workers doing the same thing. I don't care if he was a Vietnam vet, so was my cousin that I lost to agent orange but he never would have acted like that. HOW DARE YOU COME UNINVITED IN MY PARTY AND ACT LIKE IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU! Then you come to us at 9:30 telling us we had to be finished by 10:00 when that was not in the contract and if you're saying that it was, furnish us with a copy because we had Pop's sign the contract for us. Tony/Manager, if you want to prove otherwise give us a copy of it even now, if you have nothing to hide. Vet rammed a table into one of my granddaughter, was cussing and fussing at some of the others and even threatened them, mind you, some among us are law enforcement in our room, they saw and watched and heard everything. AND IN FRONT OF SMALL CHILDREN.Don't like the fact when we asked for a carry-out one person was charged $3/pc. then the cook come out the kitchen talking about no they're $4/pc. I buy them too often for my church and I know how much they cost, and $3 or $4/pc. is not it. Not only will I report this to the BBB but I'm also going to report this to the National Office of the American Legion. I'm typically a laid-back person and I did not come all the way from South Carolina for foolishness like that, totally uncalled for.

I would rate this place with the lowest negative score possible!! For this place to represent Vets is disturbing! This place is trash!! Especially the staff!! The behavior of the staff was undeniably rude & uncontrolled. They even allowed so-called vet/patron to threaten to shoot up my family which included children!! He shoved a table @ my child & continuously targeted people to approach in a threatening manner . My family hosted my mother’s 70th birthday celebration here & I don’t think I can fully say how horrible & disgusting we were treated from setup to leaving. Starting with a shady contract. Throughout the entire event “staff” & patrons kept coming into the event space where we were, lingering around & acting in an intimidating manner, because they wanted to setup for an event that was taking place the next day. Yet we NEVER got disrespectful. My family just continued to enjoy our time as best we could, even when they lied & cut out time short. As we were cleaning up the staff & patrons started acting even worse including the threats to fight & shoot up my family. I can say much more but ultimately this place needs to get it together, & I can tell them how, or get shut down!! No one else should endure what my family did & this place DEFINITELY should NOT represent Vets!!

Friendly people for the most part...Cool bartender who shared pics of her taking care of her pet squirrels..slots in the back and member games behind the bar...I won about $200.00 the night I was there...Commander helped me retrieve my membership and was super helpful...Cheap drinks but no food...Shout out to Terry, Que, Ramon, and Lisa!! Music as long as its not a football night!!
