Tom Hufnagel is arrogant and rude most of the time. I had my differences in the past but this time was it for me . A year ago we took our Beagle in and he said he had an affected tooth.. in reality the poor guy had Cancer and died a month later. About 5 years ago he told me my minpin had cancer in his back leg and had less than a year to live ... I still have him!! I got a rescue and took him in to be vaccinated and he gave a low growl while getting his shots. People in the waiting room was petting him after. I made an appointment to have him neutered and Two days before he had his staff call and cancel the appointment and said he did not want to see him again that he's to mean... I asked for him to call and of course he is spineless and did not call. We have been going to him for 36 years. I called back and asked for my records and was told they were put in the mail and a week later nothing. I believe the man has more issues than anyone knows and you just never know what personality you will be getting. He is not a vet that really cares he has proven that. I would never recommend him!!

Over 30 years of being a client this is how I was treated.Took a new Doberman that I rescued to have shots and an appointment for nurturing. Get a email reminder over a week later and then a phone call today that Tom will not see him he deemed him mean called office and said basically if he is any kind of man he would return my call to discuss this and Mabey a muzzle next time but of course no phone call not professional at all meanwhile there was a lady in waiting room sitting on the floor petting this dog and took him camping this weekend with no issues at all including with my female dobi ur loss is my gain don't need to put up with your arrogance any longer wouldn't let u treat my pet rat

If I could give him a zero I would. Long story short. Been going there over 4 yrs. Took my 19 yr old kitty there and the tech said to me if the meds he gave me don't work, to call and she'll give me something else. So I did and the rude receptionist, Holly. Told me that there's nothing else that Dr. Hufnagle can give me and recommend a Cancer specialist. Kitty has had IBS for over 5 years, if she had Cancer, she'd be dead. So I called today to set up an appointment to get Kitty's ears cleaned and the rude Holly said that Dr Hufnagle would no longer treat ANY of my animals. With my Police experience of over 20 years, my opinion of Dr Hufnagle is he has Anger Management issues. Reading other reviews, it's obvious to me. I'm consulting my Lawyer to take Legal action again him as I've spent Thousands there CASH., and don't deserve to be treated this way. He's even to cowardly to speak to me on the phone. Avoid This BUSINESS. My Money spends Anywhere. The funny part is they sent us a Xmas card after all this. Shame on Them!

Wonderful experience!! My primary (amazing) local Vet was not able to see my cat (emergency appointment) for at least a week out, so I was forced to find another place and hope to get an emergency appointment somewhere new. I called Hufnagel Vet and got a same day appointment and now will going here going forward. Highly recommend, awesome staff with expertise, straight to the point, very personable, cheaper costs and genuinely care about animals. Such a great experience here that going forward they are now my #1 place. FYI if your wondering I dont think they groom but check out Reigning Cats & Dogs in Cranberry Twp.

Dr Hufnagel was able to fit me on the schedule within minutes of calling in a panic. We thought our cat was seriously hurt but he just worked himself up to a fever. They were able to cool him down to a normal temp within minutes. Staff is always very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They even gave us a pet carrier to take him home in since he couldn't fit inside the one we had, that was so nice! 10/10 recommend!

Got us right in for a emergency visit. Wasn't as serious as we thought and charged a low price. Also helped with a kennel to assist transporting

Dr. Hufnagel truly cares about our pets' wellbeing and is very knowledgeable! I have never had to wait to get my fur babies in to be seen. His fees are fair, I would never go anywhere else.

Dr. Hufnagel is a great diagnostician. The staff is kind, smart, and accommodating. I trust Dr. Hufnagel with his treatments especially since he is a great diagnostician which is the most important feature. Also very price conscious for the customer.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO!Have been going there for years with no issues. Took my dog in for an ear infection where Dr. Hufnagel became very irate and we were spoken to very rudely. Will never be going there again, first problem my pup has had and now we won’t be going back. If you don’t like dealing with problems this isn’t the job to have.

Too bad zero stars isn't possible. We took our dog there a number of years ago. I knew she was very sick and would most likely need a major emergency surgery, which was the case. They kept her for 3 days. I picked her up at 4pm. They sent me home without any pain meds or antibiotics. I questioned it and they told me it wasn't necessary. They said, "we're here 'til 5, call if you need us." I live 10 minutes down the road. I had to carry my 55lb lab in the house because she was unable to walk due to pain. I waited about 30 minutes, listening to her cry in agony, thinking it should calm down, maybe it was just the car ride. So at 4:40 I called to ask if I should bring her back or can I at least get pain meds for her; the phone recording said they were closed. We ended up having to take her to an emergency facilty because of the tremendous amount of pain she was in. The vet there was appalled that I was sent home without any meds. They gave her a shot and within a couple minutes she stopped crying and we could physically see her finally relax. They sent me home with antibiotics and pain meds. The next day I went in and asked them why they had left early but told me they were there 'til 5. I got, "we weren't busy." I said, "but I had an emergency and you told me to call with any issues because you'd be here 'til 5." To that, they just stared at me and had no response. I then asked, "was my dog here for 3 days crying in pain and you just ignored her!?" Of course I was told no. I demanded they print out all of my pets records and told them I will not be back and will tell everyone how they handled the situation. Then I found out, after doing some digging, the Veterinarian has a criminal record. Yup, high tailed it out of there and never looked back. I'm just sorry my poor baby is the one who had to suffer before we went elsewhere. I will never, ever recommend this practice, I don't care how close it is. I now drive 45 minutes and it's absolutely worth it.
