Received a letter from Pa revenue saying I owed $361 . Shane told me state owed me that amount, and don't worry. Long story short, amount got to $800 with penalties. After many unanswered calls to Davis and associates, the state took $800 from my refund. I feel Shane cheated me !!! Of course even trips to office haven't been successful. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. They had been doing our taxes over 10 years

Ok, so they had problems during the pandemic, i get it. (They gave us good service then) But what is the excuse in 2024? They have had our paperwork since March 2024. Still no finished return. Voicemail is full. No one in the office. Now the IRS sent me a letter. WHAT GIVES?

If I could give 0 stars I would at this point. I have been working with them for 10+ years and have had good experiences with them in the past. I dropped my 2020 taxes off last Feb (2021) . At that time they said taxes would be done in the order that they were received. Obviously this was a lie. I have been calling and/or stopping at their office for close to a year now. No one returns the calls and no one is at the office. There is no reason why there can’t be any communication. Other tax preparers were able to get taxes done . I rely on my tax refund every year and now I am going into year 2 without it. All I want at this point is to get my paperwork back so I can get my taxes done THIS YEAR for 2020 & 2021.

And so it begins again. I called today to see if they were doing in person taxes again only to be met with full mailboxes and when I went to the office it was closed. (No one emptying voice mail boxes obviously). I was hoping they had installed plexiglass and requested masks so they could resume what used to be a great business, which is why I gave them 2 stars , because they "used to care"

For anyone who's 2020 taxes they are holding. They did file an extension but the extension expired 10/1/2021. you are now delinquent. I called the IRS advocate line and was advised to log IRS form 14157 "Return Preparer Complain". I would suggest you do the sameUPDATE: out of the blue my refund was deposited into my account. This tells me they are filing paper returns and not electronic filing. If they would just communicate with the customers these reviews would be much different! But I still don’t have a copy of my taxes.

I have been unable to reach anyone at any of their business phone extensions after repeated attempts. They just click and disconnect. I have left messages each time in the general mailbox to no avail. The last time I spoke to a real person , the repceptionist, she told me they would mail me a copy of my taxes ... which I also never received..I am exceedingly exasperated with the lack of professionalism this business shows their clients, and would not recommend them

I've used Davis and associates for tax purposes fir the past several years, always get a big return and their fees are more than reasonable.
